Noix De Rome?

Postby Pleasesaveheart » Wed Jun 18, 2014 2:38 pm

I know they're going out of buisness or just fading out because of other reasons, but is there anyway to get a hard plastic body that looks good, is posable, and doesn't have the opening seams like obitsu?
I need it. I got a noix de rome body that's around 21 cm tall and she's adorable and I want an army. Also mini spam of my new girl who is way too adorable to ignore. Thank you Pandor!~<3

Find me this body or a similar company and I will literally shower you with love and rose petals.

I have a couple of the dolls from when I went to Japan in 2002, but I couldn't tell you where to get them now. I suggest Mandarake or Easy Auction Japan. Good luck! I actually like their bodies, but after a while the hands break. I never really noticed the Obitsu seams until you mentioned it, then I had to go look! I had several Noix de Rome elf heads and fewer bodies so one of them is on an Obitsu. You can look at older jointed doll like Dollfie from Volks - the 1/6 size ones. Also you might look at a PUllip body. They have two sizes.

Also - here is a link to the Noix de Rome Japan site. The english site doesn't seem to be in use. http://www.noix.co.jp/45_946.html

I know that the Serial Experiments Lain dolls use the same body as the NDR dolls except they have a smaller chest heh but idk how much they go for nowadays so yeah.

The Pure Neemo Flection dolls seem to have a similar aesthetic and articulation so that's also another kind of body you can keep an eye out for, plus they're around 21cm-25cm tall so yeah.

I have one of these bodies, it was sold to me as 'Ninie' brand so that might help your search :)

I know I see it on the back and I see it online but it must be extremely rare...they don't seem to have a website.

Hello there! I know someone mentioned the Volks bodies before. I definitely think that's what you should look for. On Ebay there seems to be a bunch of auctions for them. This one in particular reminds me of the doll you posted (she's such a cutie!):

Just search "Volks 1/6" on Ebay and a bunch of different body types and styles come up. :)

thanks for the heads-up!! though i think i generally prefer the far more natural appearance
of the OBITSU 1/6 bodies, even if their feet are a little on the undersized side, IMHO;
