I'm crazy about this girl! She's the London Calling Dayle on the same slim "teen" body as Poppy Parker. So far she fits almost every Barbie outfit I've tried on her. Shoes are a different subject. New shoes seem to fit fine, but one pair of Model shoes are too small and one pair of Fashion Avenue shoes are too big. I need more shoes to try on her...
She's tanner than I was expecting, especially with her almost white blond hair, but I've been wanting a tan doll, so I'm fine with that. Her default face is lovely and delicate (yes, she has real lashes) and her hair, while not exactly soft isn't anywhere near as bad as most MH dolls. I may eventually get the courage to condition the back part of her hair, but right now I'm too concerned about messing up the braiding on top of her head. I might have Ban Sidhe redo her faceup at some point, also.
Her body is nicely articulated. Her head can move slightly up and down and side to side. She can do the side head tilt, also. She's jointed under the breast so she can lean slightly backward and forward. And her shoulders, elbows, hips and knees are jointed; her knee joints look natural. I think that the joint in her chest helps her sit both straight and bent kneed naturally. Her wrists are not only jointed, but removable so she can slip into tight sleeves more easily. However, I've already had to remove and replace her hands several times and I worry about breaking pieces. She doesn't have any ankle joints. I wish she did as she'd be able to wear flats also.
I'm thrilled with the stand that came with her. The base is a solid plastic square that the metal stand screws into and it has two different holes to choose from depending on whether you are using the saddle or waist holder (or whatever they are called). The holders also screw into the metal stand. My only request would be for a way to attach the unused holder to the base because I'm sure I'll end up losing one!
I realized I got her out of her default outfit before taking a picture, but that's easy enough to see at http://www.dollpeddlar.com/dynamite-girls-london-calling-dayle/dynamite-girls/integrity-toys-p-30584.html. I like the pink shirt, white sweater, green hose and the boots, but personally I think the jacket and shorts are too bulky on her. They are all very well make, though.
Here she's wearing a new Barbie outfit I bought the other day and it fits great - including the shoes:
Here she is in the 50th Anniversary Pop Life outfit. I'm amazed I was able to get her into those skin tight vinyl go-go boots! Now let's hope I can get her out of them without popping seams!
I know I'm going to lovelovelove having her as my fashion plate and will have to do my best to not spend a fortune on outfits for her! Now I need to come up with a name!
