58cm of resin is a big difference from what I'm used to handling! She told me that in fact her name is Olivia. I'm trying to decide what, if any touch ups or additions I want to do to her faceup before I put her eyelashes on. She's got a scratch through one of her eyebrows, but that's easily fixed. I think I want to add a little bit to her eyes. But her lips are perfect. She and Claire can share a few items of clothing and I have one pair of hightops that fit her. So I need to get sewing or finding some stuff for her to wear. And she's demanding a manicure. Such beautiful hands!
Once we've worked a few things out there will be picspam!

She told me that in fact her name is Olivia.

Lol! Yes...wasn't she going to be "Tamara"? My Dai was going to be Aja, and she didn't like it. She insisted on Katja. All I did to Katja was added to her lips a little bit (filled them out, but it doesn't look like Olivia needs it). I did a bunch of mods to her body, though, because I wanted her a bit shorter. I took about a cm out of her shins, then about a cm off of her neck. She's now about 55 cm, I think. I also really modified her knees (because I hate double-jointed knees) by gluing the bottom of the knee into the lower leg piece. Then I sanded off the sides of the knees a bit so they would bend more, even though they aren't double-jointed any more. I also sanded the interior of the hip joint channels so the strings would more more freely in and out of sitting/standing.

The reason I really wanted a big RS/BBB doll is because I personally LOVE their floppiness, and she was wasn't floppy enough for me. So now she is (but she still stands just great). I'm going to restring her with thicker string too at some point when I'm calm and relaxed (ha ha ha). But I'm really, really loving her now- she's everything I wanted.

Originally I had wanted a tan doll, but this was when BBB/RS was having some type of issues and took forever to fill Emory's order. So when he finally got the Dais in- no tans! I decided to go ahead and grab a NS and now I'm happy I did. The NS is such a lovely, porcelain color, and has a nice kind of glow to it.

Your Olivia is lovely- I can't wait to see more of her!

Yep. Tamara was the plan but that was squashed. XD I did some liner work on her eyes because I want them to pop more than they were.


And seriously, I thought I was going to be finished for a while. No more new dolls. But she keeps whispering about needing a boyfriend. So maybe in a few months I'll be looking at the RS boys. :p
I bought her two pairs of shoes today. But she *needed* them.

Yes, my dolls have a shoe and wig habit that I haven't been able to cure them of.

Nice job on the eyeliner. I plan to darken a bit around Katja's eyes too but so far have been too lazy to do it.

Love the eyes and wig!! And great job with the eyeliner, she looks like she did a great job on her makeup. Don't you love how demanding the dolliehs are? And that they have such personality!!
