I really like a lot of the Hasbro Sindys - my favourite is Valentine Sindy. She's so pretty! I love most of the shoes and fashions from that era too. And, being a bit more Barbie like means they fit my other dolls a lot better. ;)

I've got three clones to reroot and at least one of them has to be based on vintage Sindy. I haven't been able to learn much more than that about them, or decide on hair colors.

Those other two are clones of the Dollikin/Action Girl dolls.

The only real difference between a dollikin and an action girl doll is that Action Girl has that tiny ponytail and center glancing eyes while Dollikins have side glancing eyes and no tied up hair. I got my own Dollikin Clone which I've rerooted and rebodied:

Your sindy clone was probably used to help with charities dressed in an outfit that had something to do with the cause, and sold for donation money. I've heard of people finding that clone dressed in a nurse's outfit sold for red cross or something. Of course that clone was also sold in craft stores for grandmothers to knit for so yeah.

YES! I'm really holding out hope Tonner releases Sindy in a few different skin tones since Gayle is on my wishlist too. It'd be like Silkstone Francie having an AA version because the vintage one is so rare.

Thanks a ton, now I'll know what hair styles and clothes to work on so they'll have something close to their original looks. I've seen Sindy nurse patterns around. To me Clone Sindy feels a bit better than the crochet bed dolls. I have a pair and they have a certain cheap a$$ to them. The face molds for those are a bit different too and most have sleep eyes.

We've possibly got some original Tammy and Lori dolls, with similar faces to Sindy, hiding out somewhere.

That Sindy clone is really pretty! I'm always amazed by clones, and the way based on the same face one will be beautiful, and the next only its mother could love...

I know, fingers crossed! I've seen people dye their own Gayle dolls, but I wouldn't have the patience. (Though I like to say it's because it wouldn't be authentic, makes me sound more committed. Lol.)

Valentine Sindy is really cute!

I went through my doll storage and found my Sindys. I have:
Mermaid Sindy(1996)
Mermaid Sindy(Greece Exclusive, 1999)
Princess Mermaid Sindy(2002)
Bubble Fun Mermaid Sindy(2003)

I collect mermaids ^^' I really love all of them, they're so gorgeous! Sindy's face is even more beautiful than Barbie!

Mermaids are a good thing to collect! :D I was obsessed with mermaid dolls as a kid - I blame Splash! I don't have any Sindy mermaids now, but I've still got a fantasy mermaid Barbie, I love her rubbery mermaid tail.

I didn't know they were rereleasing some Sindy dolls. I've not yet owned a Sindy but she is one I covet. I really like her sweet face.

Why can't I have KD's luck and find them secondhand? lol. It's probably for the best, I'm trying to REFINE the collection, not add to to it. Too much. hehe.
