Dolls Galore!

I'm really curious about your Francie Silkstone hybrid there since you don't tend to see 'collector' Barbie dolls to undergo that sort of business.

I really like how you play around with combining vintage and not so vintage parts together cuz I tend to do that as well but it's really rare to see other collectors who also like articulation and vintage doll heads lol.

Yeah, you tend to see them displayed on nice stands in cases. ...I'm not that kind of collector! :D Because her head's so small - and silkstone hard - I ended up putting her on a picco neemo XS body. It looks fine proportionally, but she's lost a good couple of inches in height.

I know what you mean. A lot of vintage collectors I know are really big on authenticity, preservation, etc, so they never rebody. But vintage dolls are so hard to pose, especially the ones with the tendency to splay their legs when they sit. (Patch springs to mind!) It would drive me mad if I didn't rebody them!

Thank you! :) Yeah, I don't really have any structure to my collecting, just any doll I particularly like.

Funny thing, a doll that probably wouldn't jump out for some is really a stunner for me. I love your Quints Cousin's doll. I'd love to see more pics of her on her articulated body. I also love your Snow White! Gorgeous collection.
