after looking long and hard in vain for a pair of bridal slipper like shoes for my Waifu here, i finally summoned to courage to attempt to make a pair.

i think they turned out well enough, satisfyingly realistic even, right down the the soft leather soles;

actually, these here were the inspiration. i just fell in love with them at first sight, and have been wanting to find or make my Miku-chan something as close as possible to them, the results seen above;



as those here familiar with the OBITSU 27cm. doll body are probably well aware of,
this doll body type has very dainty feet. as such, making footwear to fit can be a challenge in fine, precision sewing,
especially dainty slippers such as those. definitely only a manual job for the skilled bare hand...

Tasuke, can I just say that I am incredibly impressed with all of your sewing customizations? Every time you post a new outfit I'm blown away by the complexity of them and the adorable, dainty sensual feel you manage to you accomplish with stuff like your lingerie customs, etc.

This is another amazing work! Obitsu feet are monstrous to work with, and I find that even the smallest of the "1/6 shoes" meant for full size (i.e. not 11cm or smaller) dolls in the 1/6 scale are usually held on more with socks, layering, tied shoes and a lot of praying rather than any actual real "fit" to the foot shape. Seeing your handmade shoes, you can really tell the difference when the shoe is made to fit! So gorgeous!

thankies!! i just wish that OBITSU had optional larger feet available for their 27cm. female bodies.

i mean, the stock feet are cute, but just a bit exaggerated in their daintiness,
and i think the body would just be that much more alluring with more realistically
proportioned, yet still obviously dainty and feminine feet.

it would certainly open the door to a wider variety of 1/6 shoes
for those unable or unwilling to make their own customs.

the OBITSU is such a terrific 1/6 doll body otherwise,
and a fantastic replacement for so many 10-12in. dolls out there with terrible, stiff Barbie-style bodies...

I agree totally about Obitsu's female feet options. They're all rather dainty, from the 27cm down to the 21cm bodies. The only ones that actually kind of fit the body they're made for realistically are the slim male feet, but I'm not exactly fond of how those bodies look without clothing. Part of the reason I love the female Obitsu bodies is because of how nice they look even with the skimpier outfits and whatnot, especially on the soft bust bodies.

There are so many gorgeous 1/6 female shoes on auction sites that I pass up simply because I know those dainty Obitsu feet are going to be a nightmare! Honestly I think Obitsu would do well if they redesigned a bit of their line. The male bodies could use a VOLKS-like makeover where the lean musculature is paid attention to. The skin colour range could be a bit more diverse, and I think the female feet at least need a high heel option!

Oohhh ahaha I'll say it so another member doesn't have to: There are a a bunch of very avid Barbie lovers on the board who would disagree with her being stiff. I understand what you mean though, I think you're talking more as a fellow anime lover than any real comparison of joints between say, Barbie's most articulated body type and an Obitsu. Obitsu bodies just have that anime look about them, and most of the heads you own would look rather strange with a Barbie body! I know I can't imagine shoving Miyu's head onto a Skipper body or Roy Mustang's head onto a Ken. Weird as hell at best, and catastrophic failure at worst.

indeed they are, as they have to be. it ain't easy, i'll tell you that much.

just yesterday i was inspired enough to attempt to make a second pair with slightly different styling;
they did not turn out quite so well, IMO, anyway;
