Nice!!

I had tracking on a Skoshbox that claimed it would arrive Tuesday. I watch these closely cause they usually have chocolate in them. Sitting in my mailbox melts them but my mail runs early so I can rescue them before they melt in the day's heat. Noooooooooooooo.... My package arrived Saturday morning without tracking notice updates. The thing apparently only updated once it was dropped off and THEN populated all the previous information. Shame. My Pocky melted and is now a solid mass of chocolate tastiness.

I guess tracking is only helpful if people scan the packages when they process 'em, right?

Pocky biscuit instead of Pocky sticks :)

My boss is also addicted to tracking parcels. One he was watching recently was being delivered to his home and the courier actually had tracking as far down as to where the van was in more-or-less real time. So he was able to watch it fail to make the delivery to his flat, call them and tell them which flat it needed to be delivered to!

I hope to have tracking numbers some time this week for the CCC Frost Fairy Isilme that I ordered in December.

I got my tracking number on Wednesday and had no update until 4:30am. I tried the text updates and I like it.

Soooo, um, it's been 17 days since my parcel was posted from Japan. I'm checking the tracking number regularly. Does anyone know how long registered SAL takes to get to the UK? I just seem to have an ebb of paranoia, and worry that the item won't show up. I really hope it does - it's my Sailor Saturn figuart. But yes, help please, anyone who knows rough postage times?

So the Realpuki I was tracking the flight of last Tuesday? Only just got to my local Parcel Farce depot - status as of about 19:00 today was that it's awaiting customs charges to be paid. Which means I might get the ransom note tomorrow or Wednesday. So over a week to get processed by the revenue. Urgh.

Werepuppy - I have no idea how long registered SAL takes, but 17 days seems a bit long. Unless, of course, it has already arrived in the UK and is going the long, slow path through customs too.

@ShortNCuddlyAm - The tracking hasn't been updated since it left Tokyo on August 26th. Though Royal Mail apparently have it, as according to them it's on it's way - they've received it today according to the tracking on their site. (Though it says it's ready for dispatch overseas, I'm hoping that's just the statement that comes up with anything that has JP at the any of the tracking number) At any rate I'm feeling concerned, and wondering if I should contact the company to see if they can find out anything for me. I'm sorry your Realpuki is being held hostage by customs.

Speaking of which; how many people do get hit by customs? Just curious; if I order from Parabox, I can be sure to get hit, but pretty much every other site it can be hit and miss.

EDIT TO ADD: It's okay, it turned up today! Phew. Was getting worried there.

@Werepuppy Phew! Glad it turned up!

I think this is the first time I've been hit for customs from Fairyland (only ordered a couple of times from them before, though). Parabox - always, other Asian companies - very rarely, anywhere in America - almost always.

My Realpuki should be home tomorrow - got the ransom note today and paid it apparently before their cut off point for next day delivery (mostly due to getting off work early as I worked a couple of hours late last night)
