He said book.

Postby Trethowan » Sun Nov 23, 2014 7:53 pm

I get that nine months is too early for real talking, but he said book! He can make the K sound, and he can say boo. Also, mama, dada, and other such babbles. Well, after we read all of his books, and after I repeatedly coaxed him to go from Ka, to boo-ka, he said 'ook. After a few ook's we got a proper book. It was probably the cutest thing since cute was invented. I may have squealed. I wish I had it on tape. I told my husband but he said it was a fluke. WELL. Saturday morning I set my wee little one down on the floor in the library and he exclaimed, "book" and crawled toward all his board books on the floor. That's no fluke. My kid said book. So it's going down in the baby book as his first word. What better first word is there than book? <3 I just had to share with you guys. BOOK!!

Awesome! I would hope that was my first word too.
Just because you CAN doesn't mean you SHOULD.

Given that he started with 'ook, went on to the proper word and immediately gravitated towards the actual objects, there just may be a little bit of Discworld Librarian in his gene pool. :D

That sounds like a little bookworm in the making.

Ever thought of making one of your photostories into a picture book?
