Finally I got around to collaging inspirational images and writing bits and pieces of stories around them. Any writing is good writing.

The story that I've been doing for the past three (four???) NaNoWriMo years has several middles, so I've essentially just been continuing the same story every year... just word-vomiting the whole thing all out. My intention then is to go back, read it over, figure out which parts were really boring and forgetful and which parts seem to actually help the story along and kind of re-write and edit it from there. At least, that's the master plan. *shifty eyes* Thing is, I'm actually not completely sure about how it should end. But I have a vague idea... _XB

I had a grand time at our Evening of Scribbling Recklessly. I wrote almost 5000 words. I'm still behind, but hope to get at least the minimum in each day this week and then write like a maniac next week.

It's not looking good this year... I might not make it... _xD ;;; But, well, I'm gonna write as much as I can and just see how far I get.

This year has been a pretty epic crash and burn for me so far. I AM getting some writing done and I feel like I'm getting my feet back under me as far as writing is concerned, which is probably a good thing, but the 50k? Not going to happen this time around for me :(

This is the first year I'm actually going to finish, and I'm so excited! I should finish by the weekend, just under 5,000 left to go. Woohoo!

Yeah, that's where I am with creative efforts. By the end of the day I'm completely wiped. As far as writing stuff goes, I'm stuck with one aspect of my development / outline. I like everything. I like the beginning and end, and I'm still sorting out some details for the middle but I'm really just not 100% happy with the antagonist's motivation. It feels weak. I thought I could avoid it and fix up all the other scenes but that's not working for me. I'm also not fully happy with Ivan's actions in the novel. He almost feels like an after-thought. Micah keeps hogging all the scenes. Ah well. I'll sort something out!

I am just under 20,000 words, but I have blocks of time set out on Saturday, Sunday, Monday is a Write In, Wednesday is all day writing, Thursday I will write while my kids cookand Friday is another all day writing. I have no plans for the 29th and 30th-so they are available if needed. One of the things I really like about the Evening of Scribbling is reminding myself that I can write 5000 words, that I am pleased with, in 8 hours with distractions. I love the fact that my granddaughter recognizes the writing hat and will not disturb me when i am wearing it.

I've been doing this for the last 8 years, but this is the first time I've even come close. ;_; *tears of joy*

[edit] Wow that's way bigger than it looked on my computer. Sorry.

This is my only means of hope for hitting 50K, just having a ridiculous write-a-thon for a few days straight. Hopefully this holiday (FOUR DAYS OFF) will be just what I need to kick it in gear, but......... eeeeeeh, I'm really not thinking I'll hit the 50k mark this year... _xB Like by this point, I'm just going to see how many words I can punt out in four days...

EDIT: Ain't gettin' it this year. I'm clocked at 25k words, tonight (the 30th). Meh, but maybe I'll still try to go on and hit 50k words in December just so I can get my 50k in this year. _xB
