Head options for Blue Box body question.

Postby WhiteDove01s » Mon Dec 01, 2014 5:16 pm

Ok, I have a poseable male body laying around that says 'Blue Box' on it. It has no head. I have plans for this, but will need to get a head that will fit. Does anyone know what heads will fit this body? Will the heads for the regular (not slim) obitsu male fit? I plan to get a regular Obitsu male soon, and would like both figs to have matching head sculpts if possible... what are my options here?

Can you show me a picture of the guy's neck? There are a couple different BBI knobs going on.

The spare neck on a regular Obitsu guy works with Dragon style heads, split necks with "female" holes, and there are lots of those.

This is a 3.5 neck post, you'll want a head without any neck or you'll want to get one with a whole neck that fits in a shoulder ball.

This is the base of the neck and the shoulder ball.

An older BBI might have a different neck.

I can try... lemme see if I have this code right...

Update... Ok, so in order to have them match I'll have to make sure they both have that extra neck piece? And the Obitsu comes with one of them.

You'll need a head and neck, as long as it has a socket and fits BBI, but there are quite a few choices. To use a Dragon head you'll need an adaptor. If you can go with two different heads, the bodies won't make twins Obitsu is smaller, it'll be easier.

BBI and Dragon are brands but they're also umbrella terms for searches so look carefully. If you have any questions about a head or neck just let the board know.

Won't be the first time I've had to use an adaptor of some kind. Getting Angela's head on her former Liv body actually involved all purpose caulk... and then she had to go and claim a CyGirl body instead and I'm still working on that fit. XD It's finding heads to go on the BBI at all that was being confusing, didn't realize I was essentially missing a piece. XD

And they're meant to be siblings, not twins, so I actually want different bodies (from what I can tell of measurements read online, the obitsu would be a smidge shorter and narrower in the shoulders) and then make the headsculpts look a little different in the faceup, but be able to use the same base head so that there will be a resemblance. If I can wrestle Dragon heads onto both, once I have appropriate extra bits, then I think I've found a decent one to work with...

I have 2 different Barrack Sergeant heads as brothers. Some Power Team Elite look close enough to be brothers too.

They'll be neat to see when they're done.
