My first girl (doll nudity)

Here are some pictures of my doll (I apologise for my camera not being especially detailed). She is my first and only. For now. Maybe someone can help me figure out exactly what she is? She came to me in a Bobobie Sprite box with no other documentation, so that's what I've been calling her, but I've recently been told that she's been modded. I am her third owner, so I'm not sure what has been done to her before she came to me.

I found her on Ebay for under 100usd and I think my heart stopped for a moment. I love ball-jointed dolls but I never thought I'd be able to afford one or be part of the community. Then I stumbled on her auction. She was painted purple and had tiny dings of damage on her neck, but I was confident that it wasn't anything that I couldn't fix or alter. So I sent a text to my husband at work and he immediately called me and said "Do it. Put a bid on her" despite the fact that it would tighten our budget for that month. He's an amazing guy and very supportive of my hobbies.

I spent the next week anticipating her arrival. I tracked her package and got more and more excited as she came closer to Ohio. When she got here, I picked up a few tools and set to work. She has truly been a labour of love and a pleasure to work with.

I live in a busy city, but there isn't a doll community around here (that I've been able to find, anyway), so it's been a bit difficult. My husband will sit and listen to me go on and on, and he's happy that I'm happy, but I can tell when his eyes start to glaze over, haha. Anyway, I'm really proud of my still nameless girl and I think I've done ok so far, for a newbie.

You did a great job of cleaning her up. She is really lucky to have found such a caring new owner. I'm sure when she calms down from all the recent events she'll tell you all about herself. Congratulations!

She is a cutie! You did a great job on her! About the doll, the body is BBB Sprite, not sure about the head though.

What a pretty girl, and good job on that cleaning. (I'd be too scared it already stained!) I can't help on the head sculpt, but it's really lovely!

I used 91% isopropyl alcohol, cotton balls, toothpicks, and a lot of patience to clean her up. It took about a week to get all the purple off. I was pleasantly surprised that there weren't any stains on the resin.

So she is a Sprite! At least, body-wise. I've tried searching for a head that looks like hers, but I haven't been able to find one. The closest match I found was the Sprite's head, but it was from an older picture on the Bobobie site and even that isn't an exact match. It's close enough for me, though, and I'm so happy to have her.

I wonder if her eyes were maybe modded to be a different shape?

I think the reason you are having trouble finding the head is that the body is a Bobobie Sprite but the head is a Resinsoul sculpt. They are sister companies and often you find the head of one on the body of the other. I think what you have there is a Mei or a modified Fei head. Fei is on the right and Mei is on the left. https://c1.staticflickr.com/7/6111/6325 ... 1724_z.jpg They are very similar but Fei has nearly closed eyes.

Actually they were often sold that way since Resinsoul made heads mostly.
