Amelia Thimble

Postby kenaiqueen » Fri Jan 30, 2015 3:30 pm

Meet the newest and smallest member of my doll family:
Image
She's an Amelia Thimble doll, 'Sharp as a Needle' from Wilde Imagination. Just 4" tall and her body is much thinner than my Ai dolls. I got word recently that a good cyberpal had passed away, so I am re-naming Amelia after her. (And after a big sister with the same name!) So this is Cynthia Beth who will be known by my cyberpal's screen name, Sid. Sid will be residing on my computer desk.

She's strung a little tight, but I don't want to mess with anything that teensy, so she'll have to loosen up on her own. I doubt I will be sewing much for her as she is so small and even Barbie clothes give me fits these days. I may change out her wig someday as it makes her so top heavy.

I wonder how she related to Pukipukis in size and shape. She's adorable looking.

If you don't sew for her, here's a link to my favorite EBay seller who often has Amelia Thimble outfits (and, as you can see, lots and lots of Tonner items). http://stores.ebay.com/brodjam?_rdc=1

Here's a picture of her next to my Ai Kangaroo Paw doll for size comparison.

Alyce, my Ai looks positively huge next to her LOL!

And I thought the Ai's were tiny, wow Amelia is just super tiny in comparison.
A hobby isn't supposed to leave you wistful, regretful and vaguely disappointed. BJD collecting is as customizable as the dolls themselves. Do whatever pleases you the most, because otherwise, why do it at all? All for the 'Gram Bitches love the 'Gram.
