On the subject of head size...

Postby GlitterThief » Wed Feb 18, 2015 1:41 pm

Hello, yet another question, just smaller  . So I was hoping maybe someone could come to my rescue here with some example pics. I really like the Kay head meant for the 27cm, but my mom already snatched up the 21cm body for a Christmas gift (thank you mom, and yes, she starts early, we have a big family ;) ). I was wondering if anyone could post pics of the 21-23cm body with the Kay head? Thank you :D .

I don't actually have a Kay, but can you specify whether it's the male or female 21cm body? That might help other people :)

It is the 21cm female body. From what I had gathered however it seems like there is so little difference in the build of the male and female bodies in the 21-23cm dolls that either one would work. I could be wrong though :? . I was just hoping for some pics to tell if the head would be ridiculously over-sized on this body or not. If what I have read is correct (and I am reading it correctly  ) a 23cm body would also work for the example, the only difference being 2cm extra leg length. Thank you for the suggestion though, it might be just the thing I was missing in my post and help out with the question :D .

I need to see if I can put the pics for my old website somewhere in an organized way or something. I still have them and all the info if anyone else has questions.

I don't know if I have the Kay head but I have F1-F4 the largest rooted head and they look fine.
Image
From left to right- regular male normal with alternate neck piece (being used for spare heads), old style short torso Slim in white with rooted type 2 head “Kirnan”, regular female in normal with Noix de Rome elf head, large soft bust in white with type 1 head “Emerald”, 25cm soft bust in white with type 3 head “Sapphire”, 23cm male in normal with type 4 head “Guivnu”, 21cm male in normal with Volks midi head “Dauphan”, 21cm female in normal with type 4 head “Eloise”, 11cm in white with custom head “Cupcake”. No one is for sale.

Close up on the minis and their big round F4 heads, the blond head is another brand that is no longer made. A slightly bigger head just makes them look younger and cuter.

Wow you have quite a family of dolly's, thank you for the pics :D . You are right, the heads do not look over-sized, just childish.
