Barbie vs. 25cm Obitsu. HALP.

Postby Elebuu » Fri Feb 27, 2015 9:34 pm

Tl;dr--I want a little 1/6 scale Homura that isn't the $200+ aftermarket doll from Pure Neemo. I really wanted to use the Obitsu 25cm soft body, but I also wanted to be able to impulse-spend once in a while for adorable Barbie clothes.

Unless, of course, there isn't a snowball's chance in hell they won't fit. Pls advise? :D

My Obitsu wear Barbie clothes all the time. I don't have a 25mm, I have 27 and 23mm but I believe you will not have any trouble with clothes.

25cm can wear Barbie clothes but it seems to run a bit big/baggy on mine. Nothing a little alteration can't fix. My smaller 1/6 girls wears some Moxie girls clothes (not all)

Moxie stretchy pants are not a problem but tops(jacket) might run tight for a medium bust. Left to right 25cm Obi M-bust, S-Neemo and 23cm M-bust.

I get them Rement clothes, Jenny, Licca as well. Kurhn doll outfits fit too.

The Obitsu between the Jenny and Licca is a 25cm.

In this picture the 25cm is headless.

You might need to tailor some pieces for a better fit. Mostly the 25 looks like she's trying on her big sister's clothes. Although she's near a Monster High they can't share clothes, MH are way too skinny.

You guys are awesome. This is fantastic info! Now I'm just going to wail internally until I get in some money for a little Homuhomu.

The 25cm obitsu is closer in size to old '80s-'90s Skipper. Barbie clothes are usually too big, but some clothes like elastic waist skirts will fit better. Jeans will slip down.

I have a bunch of those Skippers and the 25 looks like she's grown out of their clothes. I generally keep her in light colors with white thread, because her body is soft and unsealed, and have had luck with knock-off clothes I found at Big Lots and other discount stores.

Psssst these are also great to knit for, as things are knitting up that much faster than in 1/4 or 1/3 scale :D
