Obitsu60 surprise

Postby Samseramsamsam » Tue Mar 03, 2015 3:33 am

Recently I "accidentally" acquired this LITTLE beauty on ebay (I made an offer and was really surprised that it was accepted :D )

This girl is really tall, and all legs.. knitting in this scale really takes forever ;) I named her Skadi, as she is a little giantess among my smaller girls.

Welcome to the joy that is a 60cm Obitsu!! I can't wait to see what you do with her, since that is Hazel's size!

Grats! Amiga says hi! :D And yeah, they're leggy. Amiga's pants are surprisingly long.

Thanks guys :)

zirconmermaid, I already found out that with 2.5 mm needles, she'll need 4x14 in circumference (for the dress she wears under the sweater). The sweater was one that was too large for my other girls  Currently I have a cardigan on the needles, but with laceweight that will take aaaages... Thinking about taking a new fast little project to the train with me on the weekend ^^" However, even though my other girls do not have as much knitwear as I would like, the new girl always gets the clothes ^^" (She is strangely addictive to knit for).

Jobee, that is why I will NEVER knit pants for her. I think. Until she decides she wants pants ;)

"repurposed" a dress that was knit originally for Tonner Tyler, but turned out way too large - Obitsu's joy

You made that dress specifically for Skadi, you just didn't know it at the time. It looks very nice. Good fit.

Thank you :) K2, yes, of course you are right, she was destined to come to me from the moment I got into the bigger dolls (starting with the one Tonner Tyler) ;)

However, the demanding little thing already has me needling up another stripey dress, longer this time - and wants soft pink socks/stockings to go with it.

I have found a sewing pattern for Dollfie socks (MDD), might these fit the Obitus girls?

My girls get most of their hosiery from Beachgirlnikita on ebay. http://stores.ebay.com/Beachgirlnikitas ... lls?_rdc=1
The couple MSD size sock items I have bought have come up to just over the knee and been quite tight on the 60cm, while the SD stuff has come up to the crotch.
