Gretel Head with Moxy or Liv wig will it fit?

Hi!

I've just bought my first BJD, she is an Obitsu and I already picked the name for her and everything!
I was already planning on making her some wigs and clothes but found out yesterday that Mattel has a doll line that has replaceable wigs. Which would make my life much more easier! ~^^~
I've seen the wigs on Pullips and I didn't like the results very much so I would like to know or see how they would look on a Gretel head from Obitsu...
I live in Portugal so Mitsuki will only arrive next month, but by then I would like to give her some clothes and maybe some hairstyles

I don't think so. It depends on which scale your Gretel is, but they are either in the 3-4 or 7-8/8-9 wig size range, and I think the Liv and Moxie wigs are more 4/5 or 5/6.

Nope, definitely not too big for the tiny ones and too small for the big ones.

10.5cm (4 inches)...so I guess it won't fit properly :p

Junky SPot has some 16 wigs, and the Monique company makes them. Anything at Monique.com that starts with Mini comes in 3-4 which fits 1/6 dolls.

The Liv and Moxie wigs are basically the same thing - which is a really thick plastic cap that has the hair rooted into it - so they aren't "wigs" like you think of them. You'd definitely want to either buy pre-made wigs from Junky or Monique as recommended, or make your own since it sounds like you know how and have the skills

Actually it depends on which kind of Moxie wigs you are talking about. While the Moxie Teenz wigs are pretty much the same as Liv, there are some Moxie Girlz wigs that are meant to go over their normal hair and feature a fabric wig cap. I still think they are around the same size but if the doll is smaller maybe it can be altered to fit a smaller doll.

If you want range of colors like Liv wigs you can get them from this store, they're having a sale. Use this site to get a idea of what different wigs look like on a doll and a rough idea of color

I got mine from them some weeks back. I have 2 Gretels(25cm) and they use size 4 wigs mainly. 4/5 is a little big and 3/4 is acceptable

Try Kemper Dolls as well. They've got some nice wigs in the size four range that will work well on your Gretel head. I can vouch for this style on the tiny Gretel head. My 'lil Gretel is wearing a burgundy one right now.
