A little time outside

Postby WhiteDove01s » Mon Apr 13, 2015 11:07 pm

The weather was nice today, and I couldn't help noticing the cherry tree seemed to just be asking for dolls to climb in it. And, as it happens, my collection now includes a couple kids of tree-climbing age. So I took Amy and Billy out into the yard (after finding a hat to stick on Billy... he's waiting on a reroot, and the hair is ordered and should be in the mail.)

While we were out, we checked on the tulips. Sadly, they have not yet bloomed. I guess this means we'll just have to go back later.

Billy's a repainted and de-grinned Barbie Stacie head on a 21cm obitsu male body. Fleshtone, no extensions used, and waiting on hair. The head fits a bit loose on there no matter which peg I use, if anyone has hints there I'd like to hear them.

Amy is a Barbie 'Awesome Skateboard Stacie' (with a slightly altered faceup and de-grin procedure done XD), which is the only decently jointed Stacie doll I'm aware of (Though one of her legs is a bit weird. The joint at the hip doesn't match the other leg at all, and the joints in that leg are all loose... presumably to allow skateboard tricks to work. Despite this, she can still stand up by herself... though, sadly, the shoes are part of her feet and not removable.

They look great, very natural and like real kids!

You have some lovely weather.
