Most of life will be same old, same old for us. I'd like to finish the layout of our next kid's book. (I write and layout, my sis illustrates.) We are also kinda house hunting. Not seriously yet, til we get a downpayment, but maybe by the end of the year.
Just because you CAN doesn't mean you SHOULD.

I have recently added a Top Secret Project to my summer plans. I can't say exactly what it is yet, but it is (sort of) dolly related, at least for 1/6 scale. Hopefully I'll actually have something from it I can show in about a month (or I'll know if it's a total fail). Until then, sorry for the secrecy, but I don't want anyone to beat me to actually doing this idea after getting as far as I have. This one's going to be special. XD (And shareable, as it isn't just some one-off made for just my own collection). Can't say more without spoilers...
Playscale-Obsessed Mad Scientist with more cheap vinyl dolls than I'm willing to count.

No serious plans so far. Tight budget = not a lot of vacation money. Probably the biggest vacation plans would be visiting my brother's family in Tennessee, but not sure it'll happen this year since they just moved into a bigger house (because their last one wasn't big ENOUGH, apparently. Yeesh). Well, they wanted more yard space for the kids to run around, and this house has plenty.

Really, really wanna attend another doll con. Again, no monies, so hopefully next year (although my friend is saying we're going to Hawaii since she has family out there we can stay with to save on expenses, so that might be happening instead). I really hope another Dollism will happen, though. The last one was so much fun!

There's also a faerie con I want to attend this year in Maryland, but that doesn't actually happen until October, I think. So doesn't really count toward summer plans. lol

I'll probably do what I do the rest of the year. Work as much overtime as I can, write in my free time, try not to buy more dolls (I was soooo tempted to buy a gorgeous artist BJD I saw on Etsy yesterday but I resisted!). I'm still waiting for my Kaye Wiggs Yani to show up, so I think I'm angsty for her to arrive (she should ship ANY day now!). Once she arrives, it'll hopefully help with the dolly cravings. lol

Oh yeah! Yard sale in two weeks. I hate holding yard sales in my neighborhood, though. We live close to the city so a lot of inner-city folk come through. And I don't wanna sound prejudiced or anything, but I have to watch those types like a hawk. I always get at least one or two attempting to walk off with things they didn't pay for. If it was a book or something, that's fine. But a set of good china? I don't friggin' THINK so. >_<

Well, first, I want to finish my Frozen Fever Elsa cosplay---(almost there!!!!) and then decide which will be our Halloween costumes this year: Frozen Fever or Coronation/Wintry costumes....

My sis decided to go with the temperature! If it's hot on Oct 31, it'll be the summer Frozen Fever costumes, if it's cold, then the Wintry/Coronation ones!! :)

For dolls, it's just a neverending loop of them. The commissions are crazy this season---everyone wants a Sailor Moon or Disney custom doll!! :)

For our own sets, I'm needing to make the Anna 17" 'LE' doll outfit for my sister's doll and I want to make an Anna wedding dress for my 11" doll of her.

I think I'm good with the BJDs this year---everyone's complete and done and I have no plans to acquire more, unless I make Frozen 1/3 dolls! (However...that might be a toughie...) I think I'll be happy with the 1/4 Frozen dolls. ^^

For non-doll work? We've been re-concreting a section of our driveway, and then I know we'll be painting our deck concrete edging....so

Busy busy !!!!

Reading back this 'to do' post, it looks like did most of what was projected....

Finished concreting the driveway...check!
Painting the matte log edging....check!
Finished the summer commissions on time....check!

Made my sister's Anna 17" Frozen Fever doll:

Made my Anna wedding 11" gown:

And finally finished and posed in our Frozen Fever cosplay costumes:

I also threw in making a set of 'Birthstone/Flower' 11" Princess dolls to sell, which I completed a few days ago:

But I had another 'mission' that I wanted to complete by Sept but unfortunately, I caught a bad flu/cold and have been pretty lethargic the past 10 days! I'm just starting to recover now...but sheesh! I had wanted to sketch and cg color a few pictures, but didn't squeeze it in. :(

Ah well! Got most of it in, anyway!!! :)
