I might have to say.... vinyl is

Lovely outdoor pictures, you guys. There is a decent place by the creek behind my house but I'd have to battle my spastic dog to get down to the fence, beyond which is home to rattlesnakes and the ever-present hordes of mosquitoes. I guess I shouldn't really call it a decent place, eh? It doesn't sound all that decent at all if it's full of snakes and mosquitoes. Vargas might like it. <3 and too... photography outside??? Ivan would turn into a pile of resin ash! LOL

(the real reason I don't like going outside is because I don't like bugs.) :o

Try deet (on you, not the dolls!!). Stinks, feels horrible, but mosquitoes really seem to dislike it. I begrudgingly use it occasionally when I get really fed up with developing golf balls where they bite.

It's cheap and cheerful too! Vinyl dolls are fine for posing, sitting about the house, letting kids handle...(mine are mostly obitsu... Not too expensive to be toys!) no ones playing with the resin doll when he arrives. Several hundred pounds is too much money to risk breaking!
I have 20+ BJDs... I was only gonna get one...

If you're really attached to vinyl-- Have you taken a look at Parabox's 40-60 cm Obitsus? I've been eyeing them for awhile, and those guys are crazy poseable. The joints are a bit unsightly, but I think that could be remedied by sanding the visible areas of the joints down with super fine sandpaper to make them matte.

I have a few of their MSD and SD. I really like all of the Obitsu options out there.
