Is Barbie's friend Miko too tan or Asian? She had jet black hair, and I loved the one I had when I was a kid.

Yes, unfortunately, she's very Asian so she isn't a possibility (though she is gorgeous and her jet black hair is perfect!)....

I did see this doll on eBay called 'Raquelle'

http://www.ebay.com/itm/NUDE-BARBIE-RAV ... 7675.l2557

Some describe her as Asian, some don't, and her 'write-up' on the back of the boxes say that the doll called 'Ryan' fashionista male doll is her twin brother.
And he's not Asian....(At least, I don't think so----I've had him a half dozen times or more and I never thought him to be ethnic/Asian.)

What do you guys think? Would she work or will the customer think she's Asian?

Aww, good shot! I just looked her up and there are a couple of black haired Coca-Cola Barbies but.....all have really short hair! Argh!!!

But it was a great idea! I'd have never thought of that!!! :)

I saw some with shoulder length hair. How long do you need?

Oh, I think she'd be perfect!!!! :) Except....she's a little out of the price range. I'm trying to stay under $20 or so. But great find!! I wish she was lower priced or even loose or just her head available! :) Thanks for looking!!!

Well, I'll probably go with this girl:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Barbie-City-Shi ... 58cbc0d340

I don't think her hair is jet black either, but it might be so shiny it's close enough?

But I didn't buy her yet because I'm still hoping an actual jet black haired smiling NS barbie will be uncovered!!! :)

She needs to have waist length hair, at least. :) If I was making her for myself, I'd go with shoulder length----Spiderwoman (Jessica) looks just past shoulders to me. But the doll I already made a few years ago had waist length hair and the new customer wants her just about the same....

Gotcha covered, kiddo!

http://www.amazon.com/Moonlight-Magic-B ... B000UJF1UU

Pale skin? Check.

Superstar (open mouthed smile) face? Check.

Long black hair, at least waist length? Check.

Made in 1993, and reasonably cheap considering the fact that this doll once went for $100 or more.

I might even have a nude one of these knocking around, but don't hold me to that.
