new doll, now a decision

Postby SkyFire Fox » Tue Nov 17, 2015 1:43 am

When I ordered Soom's Cheshire the Black Cat  http://dollsoom.com/eng/shop/item.php?it_id=1436333198 I really didn't have much of an idea who he'd be. Now he's home, he has declared he is Quaxo/Mr. Mistoffelees, from Cats. In the musical he is a tuxedo cat, but in the song he's described as "black from his ears to the tip of his tail". I don't know if I should make him tuxedo or all black. :?:

Also, now I have to find a Rum Tum Tugger. Who has to be larger than Mistoffelees.

I'm actually wondering why I didn't see this little guy's promotion and then I saw the date... The surprise head is pretty cute, I would love it on a girl.

Would 44.5cm Catish boy do? Or 42.5cm Kid Delf ZuzuLio? Or a very handsome 65.5cm Raven?

Super cute! Congrats! I'd be partial to Tuxedo myself but it's up to you! ^_^

After asking friends IRL and the ladies at my knit night, the consensus seems to be for a tuxedo cat. I'm thinking that I probably will make him a tuxedo.

On another note, why do almost all bjd's larger than MSD seem to have resting b--ch face, or are pouting? Almost none of them seem to smile.

Because aloof cats are aloofing?
If you don't need your large cat to be werecat cat, there's always the choice of finding a friendlier humanish sculpt, use a wig to hide the human ears if not get rid of it somehow. Then get those magnetic resin ears that Pipos or Junkyspot sells or Azone for their fabric hairband type(my Noix de Rome with added safety pin type), if not make your own.

As for paws.... I would have to glove mine eventually.
