So Frustrated!! >.<

I purchased a secondhand MNF muscular active line body off the MP a few weeks ago. Now one of the reasons I did so was because I understood from several sources that they, as most Fairyland dolls, are about the best posers out there (and because the breakaway scar face was exactly what I wanted for my character).

Now . . . I've had a friend of mine who is basically a pro at restringing dolls work on the body twice and it's still wonky, his back still looks like he suffers from spina bifida and he won't stand well. Last weekend she restrung him with completely new elastic (from JS) and kipped him. Already he's back in the same shape . . . I'm about at my wits end! One of the obvious problems is that his right hip "cap" piece slides up into his torso piece. We can't figure out why.

Does anyone here have experience with MNFs and their bodies? Any suggestions or comments that might help save this little guy? Otherwise I'm going to have to either replace his body or replace him altogether!

Yikes. That does sound bad. I wish I could help but I've never had an active line body.

Have you tried hot glue suedeing?

WOW! Scoundrelle has Minifees and they pose really well. Can you take pictures? I can get her to look at them and maybe we can figure it out.

Okay, here are some photos of Noble showing the problems I'm having with his torso. He's been restrung twice, the last time with new elastic and kips. I'd appreciate any comments or suggestions!

This is a close up showing how his chest and ab section lean in different directions. Notice how his waist pops out? It does that in back as well. And while it's not as extreme as normal, you can see how the right hip "cap" is higher up in the top of the leg than the left.

This is a different view of of the shot above showing how he leans backwards.

Here is a shot with his upper torso being straight but his waist still popping out.

I usually hot glue suede and wire my dolls. It usually helps.

That is weird! My MNF active line girl is rock solid. Maybe try posting the pics on the Fairyland board or maybe on DoA? I'm pretty sure it shouldn't be so wonky. I wish I could help but I've never dismantled Victoria.

Several people on the DOA MNF thread has said that they experienced the same thing. One said all of her A-line bodies are like that (I don't know how many she has though). Most of them did suggest sueding as well, so that might be the route I go, also.
