2016 Monster High reboot

Barbie, Jenny, Fashion Royalty, Obitsu and 1/6 resins - basically anything 10-12inch/21-27cm or in the neighborhood.

That's pretty sad...It's not just the lack of jointing, but the clothing looks pretty cheap too. One of the things I like about MH is the intricate clothing details. Plus, of course, jointing.

But, the pictures from the official reboot do show jointed arms, as well as different faces than what these other new ones. (not on my phone, so I can post a picture!)

So, maybe these other ones are a cheap line, kind of like the $5 Barbies?

I guess since MH is technically marketed towards 7-10 year olds, the jointed arms on the normal ones might be more prone to breakage if you are playing with them like a normal younger kid would. I'm thinking they aren't going to completely do away with jointing, but probably are just adding some in for the younger end of the spectrum who might be more likely to have dolls with broken arms, or lost hands.

Mattel is about to lose a huge customer base in adult collectors and I don't think they appreciate that yet. But they will.

I want to see them live before I make any judgments, but I quite like what I've seen of the new faces so far. The old ones weren't much to write home about, imo. On the other hand I'm probably not going to buy any unarticulated monsters, but as DollyKim said maybe that's just as well. There's still so many MH dolls I want, I don't really need to add to the list.

I was hoping Ghoulia would finally get to look like herself, but I heard a rumor she might be replaced by another zombie character. :/

Dear Mattel,

Hate the new faces on the MH girls. Hate the lack of articulation. Hate the fact that you have to mess with success.

You just lost a customer for these dolls. And I was just finally getting into them, too.

Saw some of the new line on Amazon, looks like there's articulation but no zoom view yet. The faces seem different which is enough for me to be done.

It's so strange, I thought MH was really popular as it was?
