Obistu advice

Postby versora » Sun Mar 20, 2016 3:45 pm

I am currently interested in getting an Obistu doll. Where would you recommend I buy one?

I want at least 55cm. I like big dolls. And I preferably want a male body. I have a floating head, but not for an Obistu, it's for an Uncle[70cm] doll. Not sure how that would work, lol.

55cm male Obitsus (55BD-M01W-G) are currently available from the Junky Spot for $229.99 plus domestic shipping.

You can also buy the 55BD-M01W-G from Parabox in Japan for 20,000yen plus international shipping.

Currently the best place to get a 65cm male would be the online Obitsu shop for 21,600yen plus shipping.

You will need a proxy buyer to purchase from the Obitsu shop.

These bodies occasionally come up on Mandarake. This Visuadoll is currently available on Mandarake. The Visuadoll males use the 55cm and 65cm body. This guy (a 55cm) comes with clothes and shoes, so 30,000yen is a pretty good deal.

Yahoo Japan Auctions can also be a good source. This seller frequently has an assortment of Obitsu bodies available. I've purchased from them before. Again you will need a proxy buyer.

Cool! Thanks. I will definitely look into these. And they are definitely slightly cheaper than a BJD, although I love my boy to death, he needs a buddy. ^_^

It's been so long since I thought about it that I've forgotten - other than Volks, does Obitsu skin tones match any other manufacturers'? I have a 2013 Luts head rattling around and I'm thinking about just getting him a new body.

Obitsu white skin is a very close match to Volks normal, so look for other manufacturer's colors that say their resin matches Volks normal.
