Ah - sorry for the confusion! I think they sort of still exist - but their lack of new products since 2012/13 is somewhat telling. Everything that follows is rumour/hearsay btw - so I'd be inclined to treat it with a grain of salt!

As far as I'm aware the company basically liquidated in 2012, with Vantage buying up the brand name, old stock etc.

Only Vantage itself seems to be performing less than well at the moment - looked at buying John Carter through them, and was warned off by their reputation on the 1/6 scale forums. Looking at their site they're still listing things for preorder that really should be either in stock/long since sold out since March last year. But gods know - as far as I can tell they're still trading! But the rumour mill is going strong!

As for the eBay accounts - hearsay/rumour has it that it's either old stock/the old manufacturer in China continuing to churn the figures out.

Though lately they've been dumping the old fullset stock at megalow prices on evilbay- or rather prices that are in line with what the figures are really worth by modern manufacturing standards! Reviews of whether or not the figures actually turn up has been... Mixed.

I confess that was why I was so very pleased to find old John Carter stock still available through one of the 1/6 parters/resellers that have a good rep - even though I could have risked one of the bundles at Vantage!

Bought some 16mm eyes from CandyKittensEmporium on etsy for the dragons to try out. And a 14mm pair for Kat. Pretty golden eyes. ^_^ Also bought a couple lego sets I had in my wishlist since Christmas and another book on Tiny Houses.

I caved in and put a Dollmore Lusion Schlierenist Dahlia on layaway. Now I just gotta wait a year until she's paid off. ^^;

Oh, who am I kidding, I'll probably pay it off ASAP to get her home sooner. heh heh I'm too impatient to wait an entire year.

I am coming out of lurk-mode a second time in a week! *gasp* I had received a Deborah head from Impldoll last year before my move to Connecticut, and I traded her at the NERDS doll expo for a Doll Family practice head... which I modded the f*ck out of, and now I just snagged a Souldoll old-style Double body from the market for an absolute STEAL, and that is currently en route. I also had a friend pay me back some money she owes me and it looks like as soon as the check clears my bank account, I will finally be able to order my Supia Rosy. She is going to be my last full doll for a while, so I can focus on bodies for my ever growing legion of floating heads. *facepalm*

Back from an overdue extended family visit abroad. The trip lasted nearly a month and there was plenty of over-eating and catching up done! Whilst there I inevitably searched out doll related items... I ended up picking up a Private Teacher Sebastian Taeyang a few miniature bits of crockery for the bigger dolls and... A bizarre but excellent knock off 1/6 scale kitchen.

Its branded as a Dora the Explorer set for some reason, but underneath the stickers (immediately removed) It's a lovely addition to my small but growing collection of 1/6 scale furniture. (Some day the action figure guys will be able to hang out in a massive bar/lounge... Some day) A quick Google reveals that the original probably had 4 cabinets rather than the three I received - my set contained a fridge unit, stove unit (with "sizzling/fire alarm noises) and a sink. The nonexistent 4th unit is a microwave/dishwasher. Does anyone have any idea who originally produced these sets?

That green is… eyewatering! I've seen pink and red versions show up on eBay - occasionally listed as Re-Ment (which I'm certain it isn't and I'm even more certain you'd've spotted it if it was ) but often branded with various characters. Which makes me think it's not being produced by a company that sells toys directly under their own name but either brands them or sells them on to other companies for branding. It might be these people - their website is horrible and slow: the top item on this page looks similar, if eye-searingly pink/magenta http://www.hyltoys.com/En/Product.asp?,,,,,,,,,9,,11 and this is their about us page http://www.hyltoys.com/En/About.asp. Or they might just be another rebrander.

Some of the pieces I have are quite similar to the Gloria line but might have been sold as Sweet Home at KayBee Toys to give their age away. The colors are very dollhouse but it's all held up. The second house and it's contents are said to be turn of the century Sears.
