If it's at least noticeably better than the Monster High boys I have, I should be pretty satisfied. The idea of a Hujoo Jake on a Taeyang body sounds just about in the right scale for me.

I owned a Taeyang body before I sold him and I can say the poseability is just *under* the range of an Obitsu Male body but that's mostly cuz of his excess plastic in his muscle sculpt. His wrist and ankle connectors are sort of delicate so you risk breaking them if theyre not positioned right but otherwise he's a decent poser who fits EAH boy clothes well.

Kd_Bunchanumbers, thank you! I have patterns for EAH boys already, so I'm glad you told me that. It sounds like a Taeyang body is perfect for me!

I always have to think of feasible reasons as to why they look so differently proportion usually to do with magic or being different races, though I think if body proportions matched between sizes it wouldnt look so bad I have a 1/6 scale Makie with an MSD sized head and she looks fine as her body is quite chunky compared to my Pullip/Dal which are SD sized heads and their bodies are closer to typical fashion doll size so a lot skinnier which makes the size more worrying.

I did try having an MSD just to be a short person along with my SD (think 4'9'' person next to 5'6'' person) but with the proportions not really matching in that way I found it didn't work for me. When I try this again with a different MSD shell I'm going to make it that she is a sprite/pixie some kind of magical race to explain her size difference

Arkinlae, that sounds a lot like what I think I'm leaning towards... I think I'll keep most of my human and human sized 1/6 doll crew in the slightly big-headed range, smaller heads than Pullips but larger heads than realistically proportioned dolls. I'm looking into some really pretty, realistically proportioned adult resin ladies that are less than 25cm tall to style as fairies and I plan to get a Hujoo Phoebe and some 13-20cm 3D printed dolls for forest sprites and anthro forest critters.

I'm really squeamish about jumping in and buying a new type of doll without actually being able to see it beside my monster high dolls, though. I've also been more and more worried that when the Dollzone Candace I ordered arrives, I'll be less than happy with her because her proportions are different and her head is larger than what I'm used to. (Ideally I'll prefer the Candace, I plan to get rid of a lot of my custom Monster High girls eventually...) I live in a space not much larger than the dorm room I had in college, so every doll is an investment in space, even if they're packed away! Dolls without a 'job' or purpose, dolls that don't quite fit, they become potential mother's day gifts, birthday presents, or spare encouragement to open an Etsy store.

Just ask for pictures of the doll you're thinking about getting with a Monster. A lot of us have Monsters or Ever After High too.
