MegaHouse 1/6 TMoHS Yuki Nagato (2009?)

just came in yesterday!! (6/6/16) i adopted this 1/6 MH Yuki Nagato from fellow board member "Aurea Areligh" she is the companion to my Mikuru in the short-lived Megahouse Haruhi Suzumiya 1/6 doll series. these were the only two releases, for whatever reason, both based around the 1/6 OBITSU BODY. Mikuru retained the older, 27cm. body sculpt with late-teen/early adult proportions,
whereas the later Yuki release sports the newer, shorter 23cm. body with virtually pre-teen "Loli" features abound.

i don't recall this being at all accurate to the source material, but she IS quite cute all the same;

Oh! Her current body is a 25cm Obitsu newer body we replaced her original one because it had issues with the vinyl being warped. Her original body was a tad shorter. Which is why she had 3 sets of hands instead of the 1 or 2 sets the other had.

Hope this clears up some confusion.

Jeez!!! her original supplied body was even SHORTER still?!? wow, was Megahouse even trying for consistency in this product line?!?

oh hell, they DID give me the best 1/6 Mikuru i could have ever realistically asked for, so i can't be TOO hard on then now, and Yuki here does look fantastic, even if she kind of comes off like a ten year-old or something beside her more obviously late-teenage/young adult-ish Sempai Bestie here;





i suppose one could figure she's a fairly typical petite Asian girl beside a fairly typical European/Western one.

in any case, Happy Family~

*throws confetti* I loved the idea of giving her the magnetic foot body. And yes I agree about her original body, even though Nagato isn't as buoyant as Mikuru you'd think they could have modeled a chest size between flat and medium.

oh, i don't mind the chest... in fact, i INTENTIONALLY brought my Mikuru down
from her stock L size OBITSU bust to an S size bust body.
it looks way cuter, IMO, -better suited to her personality-
and also allows her to easily fit virtually any article of 1/6 clothing,
neatly avoiding appearing the least bit strained in any of it.

oh, i actually thought that she came stock with the OBITSU magnet feet...
here i had figured Megahouse was merely out to do EVERYTHING differently
with their second and last TMoHS doll release...

also... it may seem i'm doing in inordinate amount of griping here,
-in contrast to the usual tone generally prevalent throughout my doll threads-
but please don't misunderstand, i am really not at all dissatisfied with this doll,
i'm merely making some admittedly overly complacent commentary
upon what i considered some peculiar design choices on the Mfrs' part
on a doll meant to be part of a coherent series based upon a single universe of characters
all of right around the same general age-grouping...

She's very cute and looks like she fits in with your doll family very well.
