Help with attaching hair accessory

Postby BSmp » Thu Aug 04, 2016 5:48 pm

Hi there everyone, I'm new and this is my first post here. The main reason why I wanted to join is because there's this problem I've been having with one of my Azone dolls for a while now, which is attaching a head dress. Here is the doll in question:

http://myfigurecollection.net/item/105997

I for the life of me cannot tie her head dress on correctly. I attempted it several times and I got close, but the strings ended up going over the small parts of hair that adorn her face, and the strings were pushing against her hair, when I wanted the strings to go underneath.

Here is a good picture showing the head dress:

I just can't grasp it. See the hair that's framing her face? I accidentally kept getting the string to go over that somehow, while trying to also get it to go underneath the rest of her hair and on top of her head. I haven't had much experience with this sort of thing. Thank you so much in advance to anyone that helps. :)

Hm, sounds tricky. Can you put the headdress any further back on the top of the head? Or tie it behind the head instead of under the chin? It might not give exactly the same look, but I'm not sure what else might help.

Tying behind the head might work better, I hadn't thought of that. Unfortunately I haven't really had any experience with trying to tie little things like this and my hands are kind of big, so this is way more difficult than it should be. ^^; I'll let you know if your strategy works.

What it looks like they did is put the cap on top of her head, and then bring the ribbons down the side of her head and under her chin. They probably accomplished this by parting the hair on the sides of her head, pulling the front parts forward and probably securing them in a small ponytail, one on each side of her face. Then tie the ribbons under her chin, then undo the ponytails and brush carefully.

That's what I would do.

I hadn't thought of the small ponytails idea, thanks so much for that, I'll definitely give that a try. ^^
