Hokies, so recently I saw a Harley Barbie repaint on Dolls Ahoy's photostream and so I was inspired to do my own... Also, I had a Generation Girls Tori head Hippolyta sent to me very generously and whilst I loved the facemold I felt the face was a bit... vapid. So I decided to try to emulate that face up style on the facemold.
She's on a Liv body...
And I found this Stacie at a yardsale. Wow parents, you sure understand your kid.
Seriously though, I've always been an avid lover of Mattel inbetween child dolls and got very sad that such a size hadn't been in for awhile. Of course it could be nostalgia and the fact my very first 1/6th doll was a Todd. I still pine for a vintage Ricky.
Also this doll kinda held bad memories for me since the first time I saw this doll in store was around the time my then boyf dumped me and kinda went frowny face at the fact I went into the pink aisle. Also coupled with the fact I was still into 1/3 dolls and thus I kinda regretted not getting her.
But hoorah, i found one and now I'm happy. Rofl.
Her body is actually a much thinner version than her 90's body and she actually has beginnings of boobs here, her legs don't have click joints (much like a model muse) and she can't swivel her arms out like her 90's body. On the bright side, she fits Bratz dolls clothing much better. Unfortunately, Mattel aged her up so this body is only avaible on this body. Fail.
She has her 1991 headmold though.
I finally have a completed girl to annoy my boy dolls.
Well, at least my Fashionist Ken has a lil sister.

And all my side glance dolls.
