It is finished!

Postby Trethowan » Sat Jan 05, 2019 2:08 pm

My basement remodel that began last February has been FINISHED. I am now moving back in to the lower half of my house and the dolls have their own wall (painted lime green because why not). I didn't think about them until I started pulling out the boxes and all my old photostories started coming to mind. Their silly personalities started to refresh in my memory and I fell in love with each of my dolls all over again. I am still too busy to probably ever do a photostory again but just having my dolls back out on the shelf has been a true joy for me. I hope to be active again and to spend more time with you guys. I've really missed this wonderful community and all of the dollieh-joy you share. Here's to a joyful 2019! /kisses

haha... edit... I can't remember how to share a picture.

Congratulations! Remodeling is a huge undertaking, we haven't had a living/movie room for over a year now. XD
Glad your dolliehs are able to be out where you can enjoy them more. <3

It’s great that you were able to get them out and enjoy them again!

That's great! (I was slightly concerned when I saw the subject that you'd given up non-squishy dolls for your squishy ones)

hehe... my squishy little loves are doing quite well. My oldest, turning five this February, is in pre-school and I'm teaching him how to read. He seems to need new shoes every four months. Ha. My little girl is a precious little bundle of love. She was diagnosed with cerebral palsy so we did the "see every specialist/do every test available" route over the past... time span. I actually can't remember all the dates anymore. It's date/test/scan soup at this point. We're in three therapies a week to get her a little boost. She turned two back in July and walked in August, with bubbles as motivation. She walked unassisted in November. The CP mostly hit her legs, speech, and maybe receptive learning. Upper body motor seems to be unaffected and she loves art so that's wonderful that she can paint, color, and draw without any issues. Woof! We've got another EEG scheduled next week as a follow up measure. Long road.

If I can remember the password to my old Flickr account I'll have to upload/post some new pictures. It might have expired... oops. I'm really out of the loop.

ps. I never did re-string Ryan. He's still just as floppy as ever.

I really missed you guys!!!
