Actually all new Bratz are backwards compatible... They just happen to be poor quality :/ I'm more sadface that the Bratz boys are much bigger than the old guys and my kid dolls need more clothes :C

Ah well, new Bratz with posable bodies but without extra accesories to make them cheaper?

Looks like they're ripping off Kesha ripping off Gaga ripping off Jem ripping off 80s MTV with their face paint.

Apparently with the lawsuit, MGA cocked up at the beginning but it was too much of a dick move giving the whole line to Mattel. So, for the moment, MGA has control of the Bratz... A theory is going around that MGA is just pumping out a crapload of Bratz no matter how crap just so they can flood the market and get more money, because their future is uncertain at MGA.

Ah well.

Don't know how many of you visit DollyDaily- but according to one of the posters there the Liv Maple Lodge playset is far smaller than the package pictures indicate. If you're thinking about one for your 1:6kins, it will *not* work with them. Tinies, maybe-sixthscale, definitely not.

They were never accused of copying Bratz from something Mattel did. The lawsuit, which they won, was about whether the guy that MGA hired who designed them came up with them while he worked for Mattel or not. Mattel thought if he came up with them while he was at Mattel they should belong to them instead. But the courts decided that even if he had the idea while he was at Mattel, he didn't come up with the actual designs and stuff that MGA used until he worked for them.

One thing I have to say for MGA is they do make some pretty heads.

TARGET AND WAL MART HAVE LIV DRUM SETS WITHOUT THE DOLL!
Both had them under $20, the exact same set I have, but without the girl. Only 1/6 scale drum set I've ever seen, kick pedal works, hi-hat doesn't. Who cares, it's drums!

Kind of curious about how the sales are going to be this holiday season. Will absence 'make the heart grow fonder' for all the kids and collectors who were buying them enthusiastically before the lawsuit? Or will the enforced disappearance of the Bratz from the shelves have let a lot of the potential buyers go on to something else? MH is really hot this year, if all the dolliehs being scalped on eBay  are any indication.

Has MGA released any new playsets, or are they just doing dolls at the moment?

@Alopecia No Hime: They STILL have the moonchairs (I found those about 2 years ago)? I need to get myself one of those finally.. XD

A bunch of the regular non-set Liv girls are all $10 at Walmart right now too. Also, the Fashionista body and the Swappin Styles appear to be the same skintone.

Yeah they have them in different colors from time to time.

Last years hot hamsters are infesting Big Lots this year. My best score was the day after Xmas at Target with a good 50% off a lot of toys. It took 3 stores but I was able to get all the Juku Couture dolls and stuff.

As for the Monsters wait a bit, once the demand is down you'll be able to get good deals. I see a decent selection of loose ones in the future from those unhappy with them, not playing with them, or the removable hand thing not working. So far TRU is the best place to find one, take a road trip to one to a neighborhood where people are less likely to pay $25 for a doll and you might score. "Scummy" Big Lots have some collector Barbies they can't sell. The only place I didn't see signs of them was at the Mattel store of all places.
