Your lighting is becoming much better, and the poses of the boys are more natural-looking.

Well, except when they are dancing, maybe, but that's because they're such spazzes.

Yeah :) I don't even know if the dolls know what I was thinking when I tired that photo story :P I would give much to have a place I could set up for doll pictures in my current living situation.

The pile of guys is at least 5 years old if not more so a good part of it could be a different mind set, the jack hammer testing range wasn't next door for one. I haven't been doing dolls much recently either. They're brothers and I was working on posing for pictures and horsing around shots. It is the kind of posing I'd like to get back in to doing too.

Making/planning a Wedding Aurora 17" LE style OOAK doll because I really dislike the upcoming official Platinum wedding doll set from Disney Store. Her dress is peach pink and not that awesome, while Phillip is just a wreck from head to toe.

I can't justify spending almost $900 on a set I'm not fond of so I decided to make a custom Aurora Wedding doll I'll love more. :)

Already bought the fabrics and trim for it! (And the base doll)

Wish me luck!

(I will be buying the upcoming Briar Rose 17" LE doll---she is lovely!)

Lighting, posing, and general photographic skills get rusty real fast, I've discovered! I'm struggling to get back into the groove, too.

Oh, and don't get me wrong! Your guys are hilarious, and I loved that bizarre dance sequence! I hope at some point you either re-post it, or maybe attempt a re-shoot to get something more to your liking. Your figures definitely have personalities all their own, so you have to work with them.

As for my own Dollieh Temptations and Plans for 2019:

  • A 1:6 scale photo-story I intended to revive in 2017 is still dormant, so: revive it
  • A 1:6 scale tiki bar I started is still in the "barely started" stage, so: finish the tiki bar
  • Clean up the mess from my Christmas photo-story shoot. Yeah, it's February and stuff is still scattered everywhere
  • Finish the refurb on my 1:6 living room set that kinda got semi-destroyed during the Christmas shoot
  • Build an improved version of a 1:6 scale fireplace
  • Finish the 1:3 (Smart Doll) scale fireplace I started
  • Build a 1:3 (Smart Doll) scale room backdrop
  • Build 1:3 (Smart Doll) scale furniture: ottoman and a wing chair or two
  • Finish the Pinky Street (3-3/4 inch) scale bar room box I started ages ago
  • Build a new Pinky Street (3-3/4 inch) scale beach house to replace the one I left behind when I moved
  • Build a new Pinky Street (3-3/4 inch) scale U-Boat to replace the one I left behind when I moved
  • Build Pinky Street (3-3/4 inch) scale U-Boat interior set(s): control room and torpedo room
  • Resurrect a really ancient Pinky Street photo story
  • Resurrect an even more ancient 3-3/4-inch figure photo story
  • Start using the new camera (Canon EOS 80D) I bought several months ago that is still sitting in its box
  • Complete the Doll A Day 2019 Photo Challenge in which I am participating on another forum
  • Acquire a few new figures and dolls, while trying to avoid "impulse buys" that are not on my want list

Thanks about the dolls and their personalities. Not being able to find who I wanted was half the reason I started making them way back when.

I will give myself the goal to reopen the pop up dance club with an 80s night some time this year and I'll try to find them a bigger/different space than the work table. I do have a doll I haven't used in awhile who can get to the bottom of what's up Neil's.

Two more kimono in the same pattern as the Obi50 gal for the 60cm ladies if I can make it before the Sakura fest ends. Hopefully Luka will be able to get the purple one in time. Well yeah I like the design enough for the ladies to have the same range.

Well, Aileen Doll is finally releasing V3 of their dragons. XD And the first of course is Lapis now named Lazuli. V3 dragons are slightly larger than previous versions I believe and have more articulation. Though they are also working on a budget model with less articulation. For my wallets sake I'm only planning on getting Lapis for this run of dragons. We'll see how well my resolve holds.
