Crochet ball joint doll

Ok, so stuffed animals aren't exactly dolls - most of us have them and some of us make them so why not?

Ooh I really like the second one. How cool would it be to have a Raggedy Ann BJD.

wow seems like a crazy ambitious project - as for making it look smoother like @Marionette desired you could felt the wool before stringing her up to get the smoother look. There was a pinterest tutorial on felting in a washing machine a while back.

If you're good at shaping knitting more power to you.

I still haven't found a ball joint pattern but I've played with the Annie's Attic crochet Barbie doll and she comes out just fine made with crochet thread. Thicker yarn and a bigger hook easily scales her up. I'd use a stiff cotton.

Den kicks butt when it comes to knitting.

...I wanna see the knitted BJD. LOL.
I am Tam. Tam I am. I like green eggs, but I don't like ham. :D

I tried linking one of my adopted click pets here, but the board wouldn't let me. :/

I'll write down my pattern once I actually get to it. kind of in the crunch time of travel prep (I leave on Tuesday, the 24th, after a morning doctor's appointment) at the moment. I have an idea of what sized needles I'mma use, and a general idea on how to shape the ball joints and elbow and knee joints, as well as the rest of the jointing, for the most part. Hardest part will likely be the head.

Reason I'll write down the pattern is so I can try selling it at some point, and offer free patterns for things like undergarments and simple clothes.
