Well, she is a Barbie, but one of the Stacie friends. She's an Awesome Skateboard Janet. The Awesome Skateboard dolls and the Gymnast dolls were pretty much the only Stacies I know of from back in the day that were made with jointed bodies (neck, shoulders, elbows, hips, knees, ankles, and a ball for a waist that's technically two joints), tho the Skateboard ones have one intentionally-designed-loose hip and molded on shoes to make them do tricks on a skateboard they came with (the shoes snapped onto the skateboard). Janet tends to be harder to find than Stacie or Whitney (the auburn-haired girl) just in general because it seemed the AA dolls were always shortpacked back then. I didn't have a Janet at all for my "classic barbie characters" section, so getting a jointed one for about what I might have ended up paying for a non-poseable one (maybe less) is great. She's even clothes that fit (I'd have to check if it's the original outfit, but I don't really care-I know the knee pads and one elbow pad are from what she came with), and I'm pretty sure that her hair was originally done in those little braids so I'll just need to freshen it up (and probably replace the rubber bands).
Or to put it short, she's a Janet that can sit in a chair and touch her hair. (Ok, that just sounds weird if one didn't know I was talking about doll joints)
