You just walk around wailing and assert dominance over the spirits, lol. The house where I had my TBI was definitely haunted.Things actually got better when we cut the "ghost hunter" person out of our lives and that place. If you hear any knocking in your pipes try copying the pattern, seemed to satisfy whatever was there.

It would seem with telecommuting a lot more people are moving out to our area without bothering to find out how literally sh*tty it is. Like last year that was a dairy full of moo cows that's what that smell is sh*tty and the next town over is horse country and just wait until it's wind season and the power gets shut off.

Which reminds me, if you are on any sort of electric company program for low income and/or medical equipment like a sleep apnea machine see if you qualify for a free back up battery and portable solar panel. Especially if you're one of their free refrigerator people. They'll assess your other electric appliances too.

If anyone is into summoning or visualization or whatever picture the dolls having their own room by a store that used to carry Power Team Elite at the intersection of a major USGS line and the street to take to the street the really good junk store is on. And it's impossible to put an open kitchen in the place so no one else wants it.

Ditto. I'm praying for you, too.

In between nearly fainting with terror over nothing.

Of course we didn't get that place. Or any other we've applied for. Anyone out there practice discrimination stuff because the only reason has to be the rental assistance we're on which they can't tell you to your face they won't take or that we're disabled but with a perfect rental record, no kids, and a willingness to be pet free it can't be anything else.

The one saying that has been passed down in this family is wish in one hand and spit in the other and see which get fills first.

The guy we gave the smashed car to is trying to help.

*We do have a storage unit and more places to look at, it's just a big game of either who hasn't broken my trust or Trust is just a song on the Wish album.

I have friends who have been in an extended stay hotel for years now because of governmental "damned if you do, damned if you don't" assistance. My daughter and her partner can't marry without her losing half her disability. I swear that government assistance forces people to remain in poverty.

I wonder if part of it is that landlords are either skittish because of the Covid eviction moratorium or if that they are now at a place where they can start being picky about their renters. I ran into that problem when I tried to get my mom into a nursing home before she became so ill. The state had just started allowing them to take in new patients so they all had waiting lists of people to choose and a woman with severe dementia on Medicaid was not on the top of their list.

I'm sorry you are having such a hard time. I will indeed keep you all in my prayers that someplace safe and reasonable can be found quickly!

Still praying.

And very very very grateful to live in Alberta, Canada, even if the neighbour across the way IS blaring his TV and screaming cusswords while clapping loudly. Subsidized housing here is only in set buildings, the residents often get second tiered behind other renters of things like the daycare centre/shop fronts that are in buildings, and trying to get moved to a part of town nearer to family and such is a nightmare, but at least there ARE buildings, and people don't usually have to wind up in hotels forever. *hug*

With the kids that surround us and the traffic on this street for the schools in the day, donuts at night, and somehow having a trash truck on the street every day living above retail would be nothing. I don't drive so being able to walk or mobility scooter to a grocery store would be a plus.

Wherever we go we'll be there for two years minimum and hope by then we'll either really like it or things will have changed for the better. Even one more month's notice might have helped more but...

What's amazing are the scams and crap because people fall for it, pay us to be able to look at the house, pay us $$$ over rent to live there, pet rent but not kid rent, $$$ each just to apply without seeing the place, and the usual send money out of the area and we'll send you the keys to a place they don't even own, Craigslist, that unit is rented but we have another one...

*Fingers crossed the people in line before us who qualify with the property management don't like the house and we can have it.

As long as we have good credit and no felonies there's no reason we shouldn't get that place.

The only drawback is one bathroom so..

*update
Nowhere to go again and out the credit report fees for those $@&
