Cute face and outfit! She looks like fun!
I just learned the term "Disney Bounders" last week, from a mention on a doll forum. Not sure if it was here or somewhere else.
Is Jakks Pacific (whom I remember for their Winx Club line) doing an "officially licensed" Disney-affiliated release, or are they going true "Disney Bounder" style and making figures that are recognizably "inspired by" but not so close as to infringe on copyrights and trademarks?
Okay, I looked it up. The line is called Disney ily 4EVER and it is a Disney licensed project. Jakks Pacific already has a Disney Princess license, so this is apparently kind of an extension of that.
I'm trying to figure out what Disney ily 4EVER means. I'm guessing maybe Disney-ily, as in, happily? So kind of like happily ever after? If that's the case, a hyphen would have made it more clear.
Some sites write it "Disney ily" and some write it "Disney ILY." One even has it as "Disney Ily" (that's capital "I" and lower-case "L").
The official logo uses lower case for "ily" with a heart for the dot over the i.
Ohhh... I get it:
Disney: I Love You Forever! So by purchasing this doll you are pledging your love (and, presumably, brand loyalty) to Disney... 4EVER? Do you have to, like, sign the sales receipt in blood or something?
Where's her mask? Mask compliance is now a permanent part of the "Disney Experience," is it not?
