Bangs are my bane - in real life and doll life. I'm so picky about how realistic they look (or usually don't).

As I'm fond of saying about myself, "I do many things well--hair is not one of them." As evidenced by the bangs on the white wig I posted earlier. I like bangs for some dolls, but I'm terrible at adjusting them. I finally bought some thinning shears to help make them look more natural, but they are lost in the doll room somewhere right now. The silver wig I ordered is due today but it doesn't have bangs either so I'm not sure how much I will like it.

The silver wig arrived and I'm very pleased with it. The color is great...very silver not gray. I think she needs a fancy dress to pull this off right, but I do like it on her. It keeps falling in her face a lot so maybe I need to pull some of the hair back.

Nikki wanted to try on Penny's new wigs so here she is. We didn't care for the pumpkin one at all but the silver was not too bad. However, I don't think Penny has anything to worry about. We will stick with Nikki's nice long brown hair. The DH suggested that Nikki would look great in a dark blue wig but we didn't see any we liked just yet so maybe in the future. The top she is wearing is a Dollmore one I'd gotten for Princess who I'm still trying to sell with no luck. I had to adjust the sleeve length and the shoulders are still a bit wide, but I think it works well enough.

Got a new dress from ebay that was surprisingly inexpensive, amazingly quick to ship from China and just stunning! Monday got out her silver wig and claimed it right away. I think she looks smashing in it. She has on boots as I didn't have a good choice of shoes for her but it's so long, it hardly matters. She is standing on the shelf by my computer and the dress drapes down a good 4 or 5 inches! There is a short chiffon top with long sleeves, a satin brocade bustier with attached chiffon skirt, a brocade belt with long lace/pearls drop, a lacy jacket with long sleeves and lace edges and lace/pearl appliques, a lacy scarf, and lace/pearl hair clips. Also got earrings, but I'm not going to pierce her ears. She says she's a fairy, but I think she looks more like a moon goddess.
