Uber Freaky Hybrid Tiems!

Lols, well today's flea market was a total bust. No barbies in over 60 cars. Hmmm, disappoint me is disappointed.

But lol and behold, in one of the grandmotherly stuff buried deep in horrifying porcelain doll skirts was, dare I believe it... a POSE DOLL.

I ENTIRELY blame DollsAhoy for this purchase because if it weren't for her posts about her pose dolls I never would even touch one...

But alas, my first big headed doll... isn't she freakishly adorable?




Okies I tried sticking her head on volks Midi body but it looked so mature for her childlike head... so I stuck her on my legless 23cm Obitsu body... Thanks to the power of tape and wire her head is attached...

Oddly enough her head is Styrofoam with a plastic mask thing for her face and it's textured like stretched cotton. Weird.

Also her legs are aborted attempts at making a goat footed doll...

In the states we'd call her a Bradley doll, quite a few of them were lamps, I've seen Japanese books calling them Lovely Pose. Either way getting one in good condition with an untouched face is great in its self. That's a great body you've put her on, makes me want to look for what I did with mine. ~eyes headless Obitsus~

You might want to get her a protective face mask, the face is molded fabric, there might be a shaped head under her or just an egg. Peeling the skin off to pop a smushed nose out isn't fun. And don't get her wet, she'll bleed.

...hey was she a music box originally? Because I just realised one of the things I inherited from my grandmother looks quite like her (not the same doll, but same sort of style... and dirtier. The poor thing.)

oh godness I always loved those dolls~ I had two growing up. a spanish looking one with a cigarette and a fan and one similar to what you got. I think they may still be sitting at my parents house!

I think you meant to put this in my hybrid thread. I was not sure about Blythe. I know I have seen a tutorial about how to put Pullip heads on 60 or 50cm Obitsus but I was not sure if structurally Blythe heads were the same or not.
