I'm... falling out of love with Rainbow High. I still adore the dolls I have, and I might get one or two more, but I'm getting VERY burned out on the brand. MGA releases WAY too many dolls. They started out with 6, and I don't even know how many there are now, I lost count. I'm tired of the webisodes too. There's too many characters in the show, it's all over the place. The characters I loved in the beginning are barely in the show now, and I'm supposed to care about a bunch of other characters who have had no depth.

I'm also getting burned out by the fans. Not the fans here, the fans on Facebook and Instagram. Rainbow High has attracted a fanbase I'm not used to at all. Their style of doll collecting is not what I'm used to. It's like a feeding frenzy, they always sound so desperate for more dolls, grabbing every single doll released, or multiples of every single character made, then they panic at how much money they've spent, or how their house is filled with boxed dolls, and hastily try to sell them all! Witnessing all this, over and over, makes me tired.

And one last thing, I don't like the newer sculpts they're using for the dolls as much as the first ones. They keep slimming down the round heads and narrowing their enormous eyes. I bought the dolls because I LIKED the round heads and big eyes! And they're turning them into Bratz dolls. I never liked Bratz dolls. I don't want Rainbow High dolls that look like Bratz dolls.

So yeah, I know I cheered about these dolls two years ago when they first came out, but I'm feeling some burnout after only 2 short years of this brand.

I bought Lila a few days ago, but she's still in her box. I'm not sure I'm going to keep her, though she's really cute.

Same here, altho I'm pretty sure I'll end up keeping her. I got Delilah, Meena and Lila, but have only unboxed Delilah in case I have to return the other two. Delilah was the cheapest of the 3 as they had discounted her by almost $9 over store price.

Delilah is looking a bit better altho I know I didn't do that good a job on her hair. It's a lot more rumpled looking from the back. I think this is the first doll that I have liked both her outfits equally well. She's adorable.

I saw a pinkish neon hair colored drummer in my travels yesterday. The collectable shoes are out, the containers are different colored trunks so that's good.

Since quitting a few Rainbow High groups on Facebook and no longer watching the TV show, I'm feeling a lot less stressed about the franchise. I'm thinking of getting a couple more characters from the Pacific Coast line, Finn Rosado and Harper Dune. I dislike that the PC line doesn't get 2 outfits, but it really just means more stuff to make! And the prices have gone down a bit, so that helps. Also, Finn can share fabric with Bella! Harper might be able so share some fabric with Sunny.

I'm 100% sure I want Finn, not as sure with Harper. Maybe Phaedra would be better, she is really pretty too, and can share fabric with some of my other dolls... I dunno, trying to coordinate an entire sunset seems like a challenge.

Sharing fabric or staying within a color scheme sounds like a good goal. I was in the gotta have it mind set with Monster High and it took quite a bit to not get into that with the mini food, that goal is just mini versions of what I would generally have around the house.

If I had ever liked Rainbow I would have stuck with 1 color, maybe bought the occasional other for their stuff then flipped them somehow, and if I had a purge it would be to replace them with the Shadow High line. What makes an interesting doll collection is when it's curated and says something about the collector.

I have tended towards the more pastel colors but I do love my Phaedra and my Vanessa Tempo who are similar in colors. I wanted both Finn and Harper too, but I've been waiting for a little extra money and hoping both would come down in price. I know Harper has been, but I'm too broke at this point. And neither of the two have shown up in my local Wallys, so I'd have to get them online with possibly having to pay shipping.

Shipping would be the problem if I bought any for you here in California.
