I found some of my homemade push molds I thought were gone because they got messed up in storage, just turns out they were in a different tub I hadn't really looked at since the move. Now it's just finding and making the time to pull some positives out of them.

Anyone want to come over and help me make oven bake clay dollies?

And there's uphill thru six feet of snow all of a sudden between us. We're at ground level and got a few inches, it melted, but the hills are still white.

Well, I got a clay oven yesterday and a good Ottlite on sale. Now to get the rest of the related craft stuff sorted and dig out some spare bodies. There are some older molds, I'm talking over a decade old hooray for Amazing Mold putty, and newer faces in the head bucket so we'll see who all comes out of it.

Still tho if you have some anger to get out it never hurts to have extra hands kneeding the clay.

Been working on getting the full cast and crew out of storage totes and into this thing.



It's a shoe holder! A classic in the doll storage world. I actually ended up getting a second one after I took this picture, but I didn't get the dolls moved around and into it yet.

Every single one of these dolls is a character in my Dollyverse. Expect a thread devoted to character introductions someday.

I need to do doll profiles again. I haven't done those in a decade, and my doll collection has changed a lot.

Today, I redrew my B Kind doll fashion template. It's just a naked body outline I copy and paste a few times on a printable sheet so I can design outfits on paper before I start cutting fabric. I don't make everything I design, but it's super fun to come up with ideas this way.

I had a Barbie over the door holder, then two, then I made some, then... All I'll say about my profile goals is I was planning to do a photo catalog the summer of 2021 for an eventual art book. I still have that goal as I think it would be a good way to help thin a bit of the herd.

On the project side of life the clay, resin, molds, and all that stuff is being sorted and I found that I had already put in a good amount of work on making my own ball jointed doll. I can assure you it's definitely dry now. Finding/making uninterrupted doll time is the next goal.

Progress update:



Still working on the organization, but it's progress. Had to stop because I realized my workbench had been swallowed by six months of unorganized accessories and outfits that needed put away. I figured if I worked on one section at a time, organizing my entire workshop would feel a lot less overwhelming. It'll be even better once my mother gets her NINE FOOT TALL HEADBOARD AND BEDFRAME out of the middle of my workshop floor. -_- I told her my workshop wasn't going to turn into her personal storage unit, and she just laughed at me. So yeah, that's how things are going on my end.

I went looking for air dry cold porcelain, I need something that will shrink, and found Sculpey makes pound blocks of granite. ~looks at doll molds and gets ideas~

I got another metal shelving unit, putting me up to five. Now I actually have space for projects, which means I'll actually be able to store the mini pergola and pool I eventually plan to build. And, you know, the floors and backdrops too.
