My Unoa's clothes

They're too sexy for their clothing - but they have to wear them anyway! Did you buy it? Did you make it? Who cares - let'm strut their stuff here!

My Unoa's clothes

Hopefully you can see the paws and hearts on the apron. Being around all those antique dolls at the show gave her the want for a Victorian child outfit. Turns out she only needs one fat quarter for a dress so she's just doubled her potential wardrobe. Going to do a more modern outfit in the same fabrics.

Still can't get a name out of her.

I can see them! Looks like she could use some socks. LOL Those skinny little Cinderella feet.

Looking forward to her next outfit, too.

Thanks :)

She came with teal socks but I'll be making her others.

She's so small this was made from left overs from the first fat quarter I used on the other dress. Will be making a fluffier white one later.

Very cute and great ribbon deployment!
Just because you CAN doesn't mean you SHOULD.

Thanks, the Victorian dress has paw ribbon now. It's basically an A line with extra width in the center front and back, then you add tucks and pleats above the desired waistline to give it some shape.

Most of the sewing I do for my dolls is as easy and to the point as possible, I'm going it all by hand and my pinching muscles tend to wear out fast. As long as it looks like it will work I'm good, there aren't any costume police showing up.

And should I ever want to present something to the costume police I have an assortment of copies of authentic patterns to work from and just enough knowledge to be dangerous. Clothes back then were expensive so kids will have tucks to be let out when they grow and there's no reason they shouldn't add to the design.
