It doesn't have to be an Obitsu. I just want a big girl to make fancy clothes for, since fabric layers a lot better on 1:3 scale than 1:6 scale.

Meanwhile, all my 1:6 crew are giving me the side eye, and I'm pretty sure my 1:3 scale boys are rolling over in their storage boxes at the idea of me adding ANOTHER big doll to the collection when they're literally sharing one pair of underwear between them, and I'm not even sure what happened to that pair of underwear.

Unless you don't want a resin I'd say do some price comparisons, a basic blank resin or a used off the DOA marketplace might cost the same or less than some of the Volks DDs.

Or you can go with the PVC/ABS plastic ones. As long as you don't care that you can't post it on Den of Angels and that some snobbish idiots will snear at you and say it's not a "real" BJD. They are a lot sturdier than Obitsus.

I'd never be able to post on DoA anyway, because one of my boys is a recast.

I've actually fallen in love with the semi real Smart Doll Fortitude. I think she might be my gal. All the pictures I've seen of her are saying, "Please, btake me home." So now I play the waiting game to see if she restocks . . .

In other news, the big boys are officially out of storage. One of them has a little staining from his wig and his finger somehow got broken off, but other than that they're both okay. (His finger was in the box, thankfully, so I can fix him.) If I'm not completely dead tomorrow, I'll take them out to the workshop and see about fixing the one poor guy's hand.

A cool way I saw to fix a broken finger is to glue a ring over the break.

My new SmD is semi-real Fortitude. She's beautiful. I got her from Fabric Friends and Dolls, which meant I paid more than I would have from SmD direct, but I didn't want to wait (it was before the new body was made available).

The finger that broke is the left ring finger, so that might be relevant for plot reasons.

I'm probably going to wait until tax season next year to get her, as no matter where I order her it's a lot of money to spend at once, and things are a little uncertain right now. Someday, though, she'll come home with me.

I was going to say, I know where there's a five foot tall Obitsu for sale, but that's proly way too big and you've already picked somebody.
I am Tam. Tam I am. I like green eggs, but I don't like ham. :D

I tried linking one of my adopted click pets here, but the board wouldn't let me. :/

That would literally be the same size as I am. O-O Well, minus a couple inches, but still!

Smartie Fortitude was one of my choices when I settled on Genesis instead. She has a lovely face. I'd like a cocoa girl, either Fortitude or Beyond. However, Danny keeps teasing about a boy doll being offered soon and I really would like one. But since I dropped Twitter, my chances of getting one are that much less. I wish he would do his announcements on a different platform.

Meantime, I ordered a Barbie to cosplay as my Sailor Mercury, but it's yet to be shipped. It's been more than 2 weeks and I'm getting a bit annoyed with Amazon.
Just because you CAN doesn't mean you SHOULD.
