On a fabric break so I can move the dollhouse to a place I know won't get any sun and try to set it up. Still got to figure out where the big dolls will hand out.

The area I live in is a relatively small town kind of place. People KNEW this lady, and were not happy with her. Last I heard, she was laying low and may have moved to the bigger city about an hour away because so many of the people whose lives she messed up are still mad. There's such a backlog of things to file that some people STILL haven't gotten their benefits reinstated, and this happened back in January.

On the project side of life I am finally putting the boarders on what I think is a full sized almost charm quilt. A proper one would have no two fabrics the same but a couple of the patches are fussy cuts of different focal pieces from the same fabric. Still it's been all century in the making with fabrics I bought going back to the 90s and what could be some authentic flour sack prints from grandma's scraps. There's Barbie outfit scraps from the 80s and stuff I bought for the ball joints.

The final square I made myself with Inktense on the cotton flour sack towels you can get at craft sections. What I learned was to stick an absorbent cloth under the flour sack before you wet the Inkentse and it helps with bleeding. As does not getting it too wet. If you want to use the inked fabric for dolls make sure you've water activated all the pigment and let it dry, then I'd still suggest rinsing it.

I'm finally back on a crafting streak. I made a simple dress for my Catty Noir doll, then finally finished pajamas for Jade Hunter. I just recently did a few doll photo shoots. I'm going to an anime convention in a week and a half, so I'm trying to cram some cosplays for Sunny and Violet. I might be biting off more than I can chew, but that's normal when it comes to cosplay and anime conventions.

So update on the mouse situation: The mouse has been captured and released. It randomly crawled out from under the TV stand a few minutes ago, and was subsequently caught in a Tupperware container and released in the field nearby, where it will hopefully live out the rest of its days NOT eating my spare sheets. Now it is time for deep cleaning, trap removal, and overall assessing the damage. But it's finally done.

I have a few 1/5 scale 40cm dolls, some Ashton Drake (can't remember the name of the other similar brand) and an Orientdoll So. He fits the clothes and patterns for Trent and the other brand's boys and can wear people rings for bracelets. What gets hard for him are general accessories because Barbie size is too small and most American Girl stuff is too big or it's a wonky kind of fits the dolls and the packaging size. And he still doesn't have shoes.

But he's an absolute sweetheart and reminds me of carrying around Darci when I was a small child by how he fits in my hands.

You might talk to someone on Etsy who makes doll accessories, they might be willing to make custom scale for a slightly higher price. It might at least be worth putting out some feelers. If you have a printer, you can resize most printables, so you can probably get some books, if nothing else.

If the books can be blank cover pads of sticky notes with decorative paper or printed out covers. I carried around a tiny notebook from a DIY journal kit that was just perfect bound (glued together) sheets covered in washi paper.

There's also a few ways to fold and cut a blank book out of a single sheet of paper. Once you make one you can number the "pages" and mark which side is up, unfold it, and use it as a guide for printing.

Hush, you! We haven't seen another mouse since we trapped and released ours a few weeks ago and I want to keep it that way. (Of course, I did walk into the kitchen a few nights ago because I heard some odd sounds and was concerned it was another mouse. it was the dishwasher.....)
