The funny doll story thread

Postby Alopecia No Hime » Sat Jan 01, 2011 10:44 pm

Got funny stories about your dolls weither it being about your grandmother being scared by them, or the dog trying to take them away. Share your funny doll stories here!

So this is a funny thing that happened a few days ago: My friend and I had been playing Wii after I showed her Haruka, she was gentle with her and even made her a skirt. Well when we went to my room to watch a DVD I had forgotten Haruka on the new table my mom bought. (She was sitting on the edge.) I go back into the living room after the movie and Haruka is farther on the table then when I left her.

And here's the kicker: Her bangs are finally laying the way I've been trying to get them. Now they lay partially over her left eye and part slightly at the right.

Turns out my mom accidentily dropped her and her wig popped off, she put her wig back on her and forgot to tell me. I wasn't mad I was actually really happy because her wig was behaving and I didn't have anything to tame it with. (I figured my fingers would be enough after it rejected a clip.)

So that's the more ironic/funny thing that happened with my doll. (I'm sure more insanity will happen later on.)

I had a similar - though not as well resulted - incident two weeks ago. I gave my boss a green Bobobie Isabella that I had made into a fairy (bought some wings, made her outfit, did faceup, etc...). The day I gave it to her we had her sitting on a reindeer in her office where she could be easily seen. Most people were totally afraid to touch her - but someone was less respectful because suddenly when I looked in passing I saw that the doll was half falling off the reindeer, her wig wasn't even remotely on and one foot was turned backwards O.O I put her to rights right away, but we never found out who messed her up :(

I can't decide if they are worshiping her or getting ready to burn her.

My husband took pictures of Shriara with the gift he got from the dolls. He got the boys a pool table for Christmas. He said they needed it.

That is about the funnies thing I've seen all day. The husband is a closet dollie lover I'm sure. He swears up and down he dosen't like them but if I walk in sometimes I'll catch him playing around with them. Once he threw one of them down and shouted "I'm not playing with it"!!! Like it was off limits or something. I just laughed.

Also I tend to take my littles with me and walmart is forever trying to steal my dolls. :( I'm like noooooo Trust me you can't find anything like this in here and no you can't put any stickers on her.

Wal-Mart can be quite evil. Did they ever ask you what kind of dolls they were?

(I think I would react differently...But I guess I'll find out if I take her and carry her instead of doing the Doll-Block or walking right by the greeter without saying anything.)

*bump*

We went to wal-mart today and not only did Haruka's waist fall off in the car but twice in the book section. Luckily for the rest of the store trip she stayed together and was perched on my hand.

Though some guy in line infront of us looked back stared at me and my doll and looked away. My mom and I shrugged but it was funny.
