My in-laws are staying in your area for a couple of months. They arrived there last week from Seattle and want to relocate! LOL! I don't think they understand what summer will be like!

The roads up here cleared pretty well today so it looks good for us to hit the road tomorrow. I'm a little concerned about travel through the north-central part of the state but that part of our trip with be on the interstate so I imagine that'll be OK.

Kirahfaye - I was thinking about y'all up there while watching 11Alive online. :lol:

I'm just slightly north of Montgomery, AL. We got stuck in a freakish dry pocket. There was some icing - not much thank God- in my area but Montgomery basically got nothing. The counties just north of us and on up got hammered. One of my student workers got snowed in at his house in North Alabama with 10 inches of snow.

We easily hit the 4 inch mark in metro Atlanta. I heard it was record breaking. The northern counties received 8 inches of snow and more. It's slushy out there now that it's gotten over freezing, but it promises to get worse tonight . . .

Oh, and I always appreciate your weather watching on FB, Mary Kathryn - you are more accurate than the local TV stations! hehehe

See, that's when they become what's known here as Snowbirds. They live elsewhere in the summer and just come here for the mild winters. So long as they don't drive to slow and don't meddle in the local politics, we love'm

But the weirdest thing was they got mad whenever I turned off whatever songs they were playing.
