Go Ask Alice

Postby Tira-chan » Sun Jan 16, 2011 5:39 pm

So, I've finally gotten around to taking a picture of Alice. She's a floating head that I purchased at the Parabox store in Tokyo. However, I forgot to get her a neck piece, so she's just kind of balanced on Dess's neck.

Alice (more properly Arisu) is an abandoned prototype of a Japanese maid robot. Currently, the only part of her that's actually operational is her head. To represent that, I gave her a "flat" looking faceup with no blushing, and tried to position her eyes as straight as I could get them, to give her that slightly soulless look.

Alice is a Whiteskin Haruka head. She has the new eye pockets which are much, much easier to use than eye putty. Her wig is a turquoise one I got at the Parabox store, and her eyes are Volks Metallic Lavender (which is actually pale pink in real life).

Ohh...I'm jealous you got to go to the Parabox store. She looks very cute, by the way.

I am/was working on a robot too, but after 1 1/2 years as a rolling head I think she's rebelling on that idea. Robots can be done so many different ways I look forward to seeing her complete.

I love her jacket.

@cirquemom: I'm glad you like her. I had a great time going there - it was neat to see all the dolls they had set up.

@Llwynog: The jacket's a BFC Ink one; their stuff can be kind of hit-or-miss, but the set with the jacket fits very well, and has some cute leggings, too. It's not Alice's style at all, but Dess likes it a lot. I hope your robot works out alright.
