I still haven't been able to find this Applause Ariel, but I did find a (semi)-active Ariel Collector forum, maybe if you post the picture on there they might know?

Yay!!! I'm glad you found it! Seems you have a very rare find in your hands.

The dress is very different then I imagined it to be, but it does kinda look like her dress in the movies, minus the lace.

The "Diva" sculpt became the standard sculpt for Midge Hadley-Sherwood until Mattel retconned Babs in the late 90s' Generation Girl series. Skipper was discontinued at that time, too.
