New Girl Lilly. (WIP)

Presenting Lilly! She's my most recent head but I got really sick last night painting her cause I got caught up and stayed up way too late. At some point I realized I was freezing but ignored it and continued working....yeap...Anyway I did some touch up to the eyelashes this morning before the sneezing fits hit and I'm pretty happy with how she turned out. I didnt glaze the eyes with gloss this time around because they are a bit metallic. Metallic + Gloss makes it hard to see the details and the eyes end up looking dull. I don't love the big eyed cute look in general but I think it fits with her hair and she's cute.

Sorry that she doesnt have a body. I have to buy one for her and also make her a nice white dress. I think I will have to curl her hair into loose waves too . She is definitely a girly girl. The photos don't show the coloring of her hair well but once she's done and has her outfit I'll do a nice shoot for her.

Here she is with my other heads. She says that since she doesn't have a body yet, the other dolls can't either.

Hi, Lilly is the blonde-pink hair. Looks like sherbert so I thought maybe i name her Melon but there are so many M names already. (Green is Meryl and Red is Milla) Her eyes are just painted. I was inspired by the way BJD dolls look so that is why it looks like that.

One day I really want to get some nano haruka heads though or maybe mod some non open eye heads to accept eyes. We'll see. For now I'm just really interested in different techniques to bring the face to life. That's why they all kind of look different. Not to mention that I'm still learning. Lilly is my fourth attempt at painting a 1/6 head . I want to try freckles soon and try for a simpler looking doll.

I was asking what kind of head you had used for Lilly.

Oh I was sure you painted the eyes but I thought maybe they made blank eyes to be painted on for eyehole heads. That they were entirely painted is even more impressive.

Ah sorry I misunderstood. I used 27HD-F04NC08 . Looks like this http://www.parabox.jp/eng/w04.html I dyed her hair as well so she looks a bit different. I got the three blank Obitsu heads for a good price on ebay ^__^. (two were type 04 and one type 02)

Oooooh! I wanna see a pic of your mom! You should show her a pic of Milla....

Unfortunately, Milla will be going to a new home soon. I'm sad I haven't had the time to make clothes and take proper shots of her. Even so, I need the money and I had painted her with the intention of selling her. I have a bunch of girls I will be painting to sell. They each have their own personality which makes it hard to say good bye. I hope they all find good homes with ppl who'll love them though.

Oh cool, I kept looking at Lilly and trying to figure out if you'd dyed the ends of her hair or if it was just lighting or a reflection. I'm intrigued by the idea of re-dying hair but have been put off by concerns that I might accidentally re-dye the head too!
