Small earthquakes arrive every hour since first strike. It is bit stressful.

I uploaded some photos to my webspace.

Thank you for posting the pictures Yah, I appreciate seeing what is going on further away from the epicenter as well. I already thought that Japan is a very resilient and resourceful nation with amazing people and awesome engineers, but now I am certain of it.

I think the moment that pissed me off the most was footage they kept showing of the oil refinery that caught fire and exploded. It wasn't the footage that made me angry, but the dumbass fratboy stupidity of the person who took the film shouting WHOO HOO, and "This is crazy." like he was watching some sort of concert performance. It was disgusting to listen to over and over and over again.

America, as much as it likes to think it is, is not a civilized country. We are no longer brought up on community, or to consider the rights of others. Every commercial, every television show, every movie, every magazine tells us how we alone matter, and how important greed is.
Yah shows us the difference: there are photographs of destruction, but then a reminder of birds and cherry blossoms.
There is cooperation and dignity among the Japanese, even in the face of this horror.

Yah, Thank you so very much for posting those pictures. Your pictures are so much more meaningful than many of the sensationalized images being shown in the world media. Please take care of yourself and keep us updated if you can.

I made email contact with my Japanese agent (and indirectly my Japanese publishers). She mentioned that although in Tokyo they are all getting increasingly nervous about radiation and have not been able to get potassium iodide pills.

Well I did some research.

Kombu kelp, normally used to make dashi, has enough natural potassium iodide and iodine in it to be a substitute. You have to eat the whole plant, not just stock or tea, but about 80g for an adult per day is about the right dose. Adjust for body weight.

Hello.

I think you well know than me the situation of disastered area (Hukuoka, Sendai, and other).
I say only about the situation around me..

The gray mud with liquefaction dried, and makes very dusty air.
My town was covered by toxic smell and white smog.

The railway in this area stops some hours in a day to save power supply.
They say part-time operation will finish in the end of next month, but I doubt it.
The east area of Japan lost many power plant with earthquake. I don't think easy to recover.

I don't know the reason, but we have the problem of logistics by low supply of gasoline.
Oil companies say their supply will return on next week. but I doubt it too.

Low logistics bring other problems.
Many resources for rescue (and recovering) not arrive on the disastered area.
My food factory started again, but our rate of production is less than 50% by low logistics. We can make enough food, but it cannot send to store. :?

In the store around me, the stock of "fast- to-eat" food (instant foods, breads, snacks, and other sweets) are very low because some stupid people buy up those items.
(However, I saw the stock of "Slow" foods are enough.)

About three photos in previous report.
I will not want to send only bad image.
The repair and recovering is already starting. :D :D

BTW, a middle (magnitude 6) earthquake came again in last night (Mar. 17).
Half of my dolls were fallen down from shelf and desk, but others are standing with their own feet.
I pride them. :)

Eat lots of sea vegetables, yah, they will protect you from radiation. We are all proud of you and the Japanese people for your great bravery.
