I'm continuing to make Marie Celeste Fortuny clothes. She now has a stenciled, pearl-bordered silk coat to wear over her pleated dress, and next are a long silk stole and a velvet overdress. Everything is white or white and silver.
I have a whole notebook started with things to make for her. I love her so much.

That and he's an odd build so it's a crapshoot with what will fit him so I just gave up buying things.

What bjd are you sewing for?

I'm working on a fiber wig for my 50cm Obitsu boy. It went well up until I realized I didn't have enough wefts to complete the wig. So I trimmed the wig and harvested the hair to make into wefts to finish the wig.

Now I have to finish the wig with a part. I want to make the wig part-less, but the wefts aren't cooperating with me. Not to mention that the fibers are now all foofy since I trimmed them short. I'm hoping a hot water treatment will make them sit flat once I finish this wig. XD

I doubt I'd ever try my hand at another part-less wig again.

From what I can tell I'm literally the only person with the exact doll I have. He's in a skin tone they don't produce anymore, the old face sculpt, with the old body before they had double-jointed ones. They stopped producing the rosey skin tone he has about a month after I got him. They have a new rosey tone but it's not the same. I can show comparison pics if anyone wants because my roomie later got one of their dolls in rosey and they're not really similar at all.

But his feet are model doll size, his chest is unusually wide, and he can wear some MSD pants.

Edit to add: Apparently they don't make Abel at ALL anymore. Just checked.

I just looked him up; he is beautiful. Are you doing him as a haughty Victorian era aristocrtat?

Try putting a LITTLE fabric softener in the water. It might help.
